Question:	Can this filter deep fat fryer oil
Answer:	I found that the screen was too fine to strain spices so it would probably be too fine for particles from fryer oil. You actually need a filter not quite so fine. I was constantly having to use a spoon to unclog the screen so it could drain. Trying to pour 3 gallons of oil thru it would be a bigger chore than I would care to experience.

Answer:	I think it would be just fine as long as you thoroughly clean it before hand to eliminate any machine oils / debris from the mouth and spout. I’d use Hot soapy water for that task. Then of course store it in a clean environment and don’t use it for anything else.
