Answer:	If what you're asking is whether or not you can get additional amperage by combining the AC power from sower power and the DC power from the batteries, the answer is no. The inverter will ONLY use AC power when on shore power and will automatically switch to battery power when AC power is not available. The other relevant thing is that it limits your overall Wattage to 2000W, even when on shore power. So, for example, if you're trying to run your AC and a Microwave at the same time, it will throw and error code out and turn off. Also, while it's rated at 2000W, I found out it errors out at about 1850W - it's more than enough for most vans / RVs without an AC unit...

Answer:	Yes it does but make sure you understand that it does not pass all available amperage thru the unit. the 2000W unit only passes 20A so take that into account if you want to run an AC unit and other items as you will possibly blow the breaker on the inverter/charger......ask me how I know :). What I ended up doing was installing a switch box and wired the shore power to the switch box and then on 2 separate legs I fed the inverter and the the power distribution panel on the trailer. Issue solved.

Question:	Is it true that the fan runs continuously even under no load
Answer:	In my usage it seems like this inverter has 3 fan speeds. A low mode is always run when it is switched on, a medium mode that will kick in somewhere in the 400-600 load range, and a high mode that will kick in around the 800w load range. It does seem to be temp throttled, rather than load throttled, since it will usually take some moments after a high load is applied for the fan to ramp up and some time after a high load is removed to ramp back down. I wouldn't call it excessively loud, but is definitely audible, especially in the med and high modes.
Question:	Will it run a 10amp shop vac
Answer:	A 10 amp shop vac draws over 1000 watts, which is the limit for this inverter. It could also draw two or three times as many watts very briefly when it first starts. So, no, that would not be a good match. Even if the inverter didn't shut down or blow a fuse, it would be hard on the inverter and probably greatly shorten its life. Look for an inverter that is rated for at least 2000 or 3000 watts if you need to run a 10 amp shop vac.
Question:	Can I use it with a 110v vacuum
Answer:	Very likely not. Answer:	My lighter socket in the car only supplies 15 amps. I have powered a heating pad, computer and two cell phones with no problems. The heating pad was used with one cell phone plugged in. Haven’t tried it with every thing plugged in at once. Also there is a second cable with clamps (similar to battery cables)to go directly to a battery. I believe that cable can carry more than 15 amps. The unit itself has 30 Amp fuses for protection, I think that is to protect in when you do a direct connect to a battery. So if you are using it in the car I think you are fine. Ultimately it is the device(s) you are powering that determines the amperage actually drawn, so make sure those Colleyv timely are not requirenig more than 15 Amps.

Question:	Can you toggle between the 3 digital displays manually or is it automatic and always changing between them
Answer:	For golf carts, we recommend the waterproof version GVB-8-Pb-36V-WP. The GVB-8-Pb-36V (or GVB-8-Pb-36V-WP) charges a 36V-nominal lead-acid battery with the following multi-stage charge profile: Bulk 43.2V, Absorption 42.6V, Absorption time 2h, and Float 41.4V. Question:	I need to turn on the inverter automatically when there is a power failure to provide power to a third dedicated sump pump
Answer:	Why is there 4 answers for a physical dimension? The picture shows one, a customer measured his about that, but the spec sheet and seller say a much different number. Please check again.

Answer:	this kit CAN BE upgraded, by buying a different brand. the charge controller is junk. it will not charge my battery that is less that 10% drained.
Question:	I would like to know if this inverter can only be used with a 20A and 300W charge controller obtained through solar panel
Answer:	this kit will work way beyond that as long as you have enough batteries to hook it up to.it can charge your van battery and run 12 volt appliances through your cigarette lighter or run 120 volt appliances with an inverter that can handle the amount of watts you want to use.be careful of sensitive electronics while using a cheap inverter.you may need a sine wave inverter.i would highly recommend a good group of deep cycle batteries.the more batteries the more you can run.check out youtube for lots of answers.hope I was able to help

Question:	For RV’s do you need a surge protector upstream to prevent damage
Answer:	By default, it will prioritize the shore power over solar. You can install an assistant (Hub 1, I think) that will change that to prioritize solar and only use shore power when your battery drops below a certain level.

Answer:	Yes, but 0 gauge can only safely handle about 170 amps, which is about about 2000 watts. You can use 2, 0 gauge wires per terminal to get the full 3000 watts safely. If you're using any thicker wire, I would recommend getting larger diameter terminals as 5/16 inch holes will not interface properly with the renogy positive and negative terminals.
Question:	I want to use the solar panels on my rv and only use shore power when my solar panels can't keep up with electric demands. Will this work for me
Answer:	use size depends upon the inverter size and the loads you are putting on it. Typically you size the wires and fuse for the inverter continuous load. This inverter is rated to be about 90% efficient. That means 12 volts x 0.90 = 10.8 volts (90% efficiency). 3000 watt inverter divided by 10.8 volts = 277 amps. The wire size going from the inverter to the battery is based upon heat resistance, so accounting for a possible 277 amps going through that wire you'll need a 4/0 wire (Pos & Neg). you will also need a fuse 25% larger than the rated amps so 277 x 1.25 = 346 amps. you'll need a 350 amp fuse on the positive cable going to the inverter. You can also increase the fuse size by an additional 15-20%, if you like, to account for surge watts. That would mean 346 x 1.15 = 398 so a 400 amp fuse would suffice. see less

Question:	Can it be hardwired to a house main panel? Its the ground line live
Answer:	12 volt. Deep cycle such as golf cart batteries, the more amp hours you buy the longer it will run without recharging. I am using 2 Rolls Surrett S 550 they are 430 amp hours and work great for my application

Answer:	I use a surge protection all the time for ease of mind. I'm tempted to permanently install it. I also run shore power in to a designated breaker box. Into the victron, out to the original breaker box and back into the rv. In my rv I choose to take the shore power cable and manually plug it into a designated outlet for the genset, instead of using a switch. All AC and DC lines are fused or breakerd according to wire guages. And each system solar, shore power and generator have disconnect switches. Question:	Will this unit run solely off a battery bank like with a solar system or does it require an engine running to provide constant power to the batteries
Answer:	It cuts off when it sees 10.5 volts at the unit. So yes, it will run on a battery only, no engine. Make sure you use large enough wire between the battery and the unit or the unit will see 10.5 volts with light loads.
Question:	What's the VA rating for this inverter? How does it handle inductive/motor loads
Answer:	1800VA continuous load. It handles inductive loads fairly well, but if you are operating near 1800VA then you may want to look into power factor correction on your motors to help get the most out of it, as well as soft start for any motors over ~1.5 horse power.
Question:	Does this have a built in fuse or circuit breaker? Or do I have to install one outside of it? Thanks
Answer:	I own both the SW1000 and the SW2000. I live off the grid and my SW1000 runs 24/7. All of the comments listed appear to be true but there is something that none have taken into account. Suppose you don't have a direct short but a partial short. In which case the fuse will not blow but could very well start a fire. This is common with electronic devices that are in the standby mode. My friends house burned to the ground and the fault was attributed to a TV that was in the standby mode. Suppose you have a partial short of 800W (my toaster is rated at 800W). The fuse will not blow but you could very well have a fire. There is no total primary protection that I know of but the secondary (AC) is well protected. I know from experience. I use a generator at times to charge my four 6 volt deep cycle batteries. I run the generator through a portion of my house wiring (with the appropriate CB thrown). and run a male to male cable from the generator to the house AC recepticle. One time, I forgot to disconnect the male plug from the generator and when I pluged the AC output from the SW1000 into the wall socket, the output of the SW1000 ran into the out jack on the generator. In about fifteen seconds, the SW1000 shut completly down. It sure was a stupid mistake but my point is that it did no damage to my SW1000 (or the generator). The AC output protection circuitry is great. BTW, I use my SW2000 in my 5th wheel in conjunction with four 6 volt deep cycle batteries and it runs my microwave (1760W) with no problem. I keep the batteries charged with two 135W solar panels and a Xantrex 30A charge controller. . I hope this onformatiopn might help. Thank you Amazon.

Answer:	There is a simple two wire output to any generator. The main controller would be on the generator not the ps. I wired mine to a Onan 6500 diesel in my rv. Just tied into the start panel on the generator.

Answer:	It should go through a panel and not directly to a battery bank. Why would you want to hook it up to an alternator? The alternator should charge the battery bank.

Answer:	I =W/E, I is amps, W is watts, E is voltage Let do the calculation: 300 watts Divided by 120 Volts = 2.5 amps, This is the max amp output of the inverter 300 watts divided by 12 volts = 25 amps, This is the amp draw from your battery if your pulling 300 watts from the 120 volt AC outlet.
