If you can find out the peak amperage for a particular compressor & then buy an inverter that can handle the peak, for the time in which the compressor peaks, then you will be okay. People often run refrigerators off of inverters. Beware, you cannot run 500 watt device off of a 500 watt inverter. The wires offer some resistance, plus most manufacturers seem to be very optimistic about what their equipment can actually run, in real life. Also, beware of using a modified sine wave inverter. It will likely shorten the life of any electric motor. Far better to use a pure sine wave inverter. The compressor motor will not get incredibly hot, like it will when plugged into a modified wave inverter. |

| Answer: | Not sure on the stud size but this unit does come with the cable leads already set ip and ready for install. I have the 2000 watt version of this unit. I however upgraded the cables to a heavier cable do to the fact I needed more length because of where I mounted the unit. I run a small microwave of 600 cooking watts and my coffee pot that is also 600 cooking watts. Neither one have worked AS WELL on other inverters as they do with this unit. Now depending n what you are going to run off thus 1100 watt unit , you may want to consider going larger. Appliances such as a microwave , advertise less than they actually use. They advertise the COOKING power. So a 600 watt microwave is pulling more like 800 -900 depending on the features of said microwave. And yes - the plug ins are the standard US household 110v plug. There is also a secondary ground wire you should put in and hook up as well. The kit does not come with this SECONDARY round lead. I personally love my unit. Its the best I have used in 16 years. | Answer: | Refrigerator usage is strongly a function of age. The newer it is, the less it uses. I think mine, 4 years old, uses about 300W so it can easily be powered by the inverter. But my big deep cell battery is about 100 Amp hours. That's about 1200 kw hrs so it would only run the frig for 4 hours if it stayed on all the time. It doesn't but still it won't last a day. Still worthwhile, IMHO. |

| Answer: | I am only getting 58v from the inverter using my volt meter. I plugged in a small fan and it seems that it started to heat up the fan controls and melt the face. I plugged the fan back into the wall and it ran just fine without heating up. I am getting 12.4v at the input terminals and using an AGM 100ah battery. do I have a defective unit? Also, the fan doesn't turn on in the back. |

| Answer: | Yep, totally safe. It's just incredibly inefficient. Most cpaps run off of 12 volt dc anyways, you use less of the battery at night if you connect it directly with the battery. Just gotta find the correct cordage for your cpap, and put in a fuse or two with surge protection if it's gonna be a permanent setup. Keep in mind you'll want at least a 100ah deep cycle battery and some means of charging it back up. Reason being is if you use the humidifier, you'll have about a constant 5amp draw. Which in about 10 hours, uses up half of your battery capacity. If you plan on using this set frequently, you'll shorten their lifespan if you consistently drain them below 50%. Now if you don't need a humidifier, you're golden. you can run your cpap for days with a 10ah battery. |

| Answer: | No. I went through this the hard expensive way. You would need to wire these in series, not parallel. It is confusing for us non-electrical engineers. It would be a good idea to make a series kit because in my estimation most people who can afford a 50Amp RV aren't going to screw around with two generators when they can buy a Honda EU7000is. There are no consumer grade (affordable) 240v propane inverter generators available. Just loud dirty power. |

| Answer: | I own both the SW1000 and the SW2000. I live off the grid and my SW1000 runs 24/7. All of the comments listed appear to be true but there is something that none have taken into account. Suppose you don't have a direct short but a partial short. In which case the fuse will not blow but could very well start a fire. This is common with electronic devices that are in the standby mode. My friends house burned to the ground and the fault was attributed to a TV that was in the standby mode. Suppose you have a partial short of 800W (my toaster is rated at 800W). The fuse will not blow but you could very well have a fire. There is no total primary protection that I know of but the secondary (AC) is well protected. I know from experience. I use a generator at times to charge my four 6 volt deep cycle batteries. I run the generator through a portion of my house wiring (with the appropriate CB thrown). and run a male to male cable from the generator to the house AC recepticle. One time, I forgot to disconnect the male plug from the generator and when I pluged the AC output from the SW1000 into the wall socket, the output of the SW1000 ran into the out jack on the generator. In about fifteen seconds, the SW1000 shut completly down. It sure was a stupid mistake but my point is that it did no damage to my SW1000 (or the generator). The AC output protection circuitry is great. BTW, I use my SW2000 in my 5th wheel in conjunction with four 6 volt deep cycle batteries and it runs my microwave (1760W) with no problem. I keep the batteries charged with two 135W solar panels and a Xantrex 30A charge controller. . I hope this onformatiopn might help. Thank you Amazon. |

RV's
When the truck is supplied with external AC power, at a truck stop for example, the inverter/charger takes the incoming power and recharges the batteries back to full capacity. We leave the generator in "economy" mode all the time and it naturally revs up when the A/C starts up, but has never failed to do its job. Also, we run it only on propane... it's never had a drop of gasoline in it. |

| Answer: | mine is connected to our 500 gal tank but it took some work going back & forth between the tech at champion (have to get the right one) and my propane company. i had propane company put a quick disconnect valve at the house, where the propane goes into the house on the low side of the step down valve, then i had them make me a 20' hose that connects to the diaphragm / hose that champion provides minus their regulator. There is a limit on how long the new hose can be as the pressure will drop with distance and you do need a minimum about of gas pressure for it to work. (see other answer from Champion here). Triple check w/ both Champion & your propane company. Also when you turn it on to run, the gen will have to pull out the air in the hose, takes several short cranks on the gen and if it's cold out you may end up having to pull the cord - takes some practice w/ the choke. Once the propane is flowing it's easier to restart if you don't disconnect the hose from either end. I used it this way for 22 hrs recently and it worked like a charm. Don't forget to check the oil regularly. The diaphragm must be exposed to ambient air pressure but also must stay dry. |

I can claim mine is 47 dB but that measurement is at 30’ from the quietest side another claims 57dB but that is at 10’ Reporting the max reading from any side. Guess which one is quieter? Every generator is 0dB if you stand far enough away. |

| Answer: | The CPI2500W must be hard wired directly to the battery. The lighter outlet in any vehicle is not capable of suppling the CPI2500W with the current need to power the maximum 2500 Watt AC load. Lighter outlets or accessory outlets in vehicles are usually limited to around 125 Watts. When hard wiring the inverter directly to the vehicle battery pay attention to the wire gauge, wire terminations must be crimped and better yet - soldered for a good mechanical and electrical connection. Inline fuse or breaker is also recommended at the battery end and try to keep the wire length as short as possible to minimize Voltage drop in the wiring. Follow those suggestions and enjoy reliable inverter operation. |
