Answer: | Not sure on the stud size but this unit does come with the cable leads already set ip and ready for install. I have the 2000 watt version of this unit. I however upgraded the cables to a heavier cable do to the fact I needed more length because of where I mounted the unit. I run a small microwave of 600 cooking watts and my coffee pot that is also 600 cooking watts. Neither one have worked AS WELL on other inverters as they do with this unit. Now depending n what you are going to run off thus 1100 watt unit , you may want to consider going larger. Appliances such as a microwave , advertise less than they actually use. They advertise the COOKING power. So a 600 watt microwave is pulling more like 800 -900 depending on the features of said microwave. And yes - the plug ins are the standard US household 110v plug. There is also a secondary ground wire you should put in and hook up as well. The kit does not come with this SECONDARY round lead. I personally love my unit. Its the best I have used in 16 years. Answer: | Refrigerator usage is strongly a function of age. The newer it is, the less it uses. I think mine, 4 years old, uses about 300W so it can easily be powered by the inverter. But my big deep cell battery is about 100 Amp hours. That's about 1200 kw hrs so it would only run the frig for 4 hours if it stayed on all the time. It doesn't but still it won't last a day. Still worthwhile, IMHO. |

Answer: | I am only getting 58v from the inverter using my volt meter. I plugged in a small fan and it seems that it started to heat up the fan controls and melt the face. I plugged the fan back into the wall and it ran just fine without heating up. I am getting 12.4v at the input terminals and using an AGM 100ah battery. do I have a defective unit? Also, the fan doesn't turn on in the back. |

Answer: | I purchased this system to act as a 'test bed' prior to buying my main dual-axis 2 panel system (Two 250W, 24V 8A panels). It's a monocrystilline 100w panel stated to output 5 amps, 12volts. I see consistent 13~14 volts at 4 amps, and have hit 5 amps on really good days (but 4A are more realistic). As a test item, I had it charging a 73AH Deep Cycle Gel battery from West Marine (the panel came with a 30A PWM charge controller). It worked fine and charged the battery in a matter of short hours ( I have both an amp meter and a volt meter connected to track its output). Previously, I was using two 45W amorphous panels (Harbor Freight) that took up to 4 days to do what this one panel can do in 4 hours. Buy with confidence. |

Answer: | The best battery would be a deep cycle battery with a decent amp hour capacity. A 50ah deep cycle battery would be bare minimum in my opinion. My set up has a battery bank that adds up to 180ah and many folk have banks much larger than that. I'm talking "amp hours", not "cranking amps". Theres a big difference. You can put this inverter on a regular car battery but unless your running something that requires extremely little juice, the battery will go dead in no time at all. If you try to use this to run a high draw appliance from a regular car battery, it wont work at all in most cases. So many people who give these inverters bad reviews probably tried to run a microwave or other high draw appliance by hooking the inverter up to a regular car battery. Of course they think theres nothing wrong with their battery so the inverter must not work. In reality, their battery is at fault(and their ignorance of how all this stuff works). A regular car battery simply doesnt have the capacity to run anything that draws a significant amount of power. These inverters work fine 99% of the time as long as you pair them with batteries that can provide the power that you're trying to draw. So go grab yourself a deep cycle battery. Most "non solar" marine deep cycle batteries are rated at around 35ah. 35ah isnt a lot really but will work WAY better than a regular car battery. As I said, youd be better with at least a 50ah battery or better but they can get expensive($170 for a 100ah battery here on Amazon as I write). Good luck. |

Answer: | Yes, as long as it runs off of 110VAC/60 Hz (standard output voltage of a wall outlet in the United States). I am an electrical engineer, and am intimately familiar with these products. The one caution or recommendation I have is to make sure you have large gauge wires at the input to the inverter. Bolt the large wires tightly to the battery or input voltage source as well as at the input to the inverter, taking note of any torque requirements and limitations as to not strip the threads. Be mindful that the current at the input will be high because it is operating from a low input voltage (about 13V). 550W at the output will require about 50 amps from the input source. I would use at least 10 AWG wire, maybe 8 AWG. Also be mindful that there is a voltage drop across the wire. The output of the input source might be 13V, but after the current travels thru say 3 feet of 10 AWG wire, there would be about 12.5V at the input to the inverter, which is within the inverter's specified input range. |

Answer: | I assume you mean the top LCD. You will need to see the top LCD to do initial program set up. It only comes with a remote on/off switvh. To see charge/discharge rates, % of charge, Amphours, etc. you will need a State of Charge (SOC) monitor. Renogy sells a very nice one for $99 that is backlit (you can turn it off) and comes with the shunt needed to wire it to your batteries. It comes with a nice long wire (maybe 12'-15') that can be mounted in view. |

Answer: | FYI I tried connecting up exactly 1000 watts in panels to a 1000 watt inverter, but I usually get ~800 watts in power (measured) to the inverter and that becomes converted to ~650 watts AC. That seemed low at first to me, yet it makes sense in that each device has ~80% efficiency. So that made me ask this question to several OEMs: "Does the 1000W rating of the inverter mean it can put out 1000W AC (with sufficient input like 1100W DC), or is it max 1000W DC (leading to ~800W AC max)?" Most have responded "It can produce 1000W AC, yet we don't suggest loading it 100% like that." So based on my experience above I'd be comfortable putting ~1200 watts in panels on a 1000W unit that will lead to ~1000W DC input and ~800W output most of the time. Otherwise you can connect up any lesser quantity and expect the lesser AC outputs (as well as reduced output from limiter functions if on that model). |

Answer: | Multi point question. Yes there are inverters that have split phase output. That would answer the first part of your question. Those s[lit phase inverters will power both L1 and L2 of your breaker panel. The other part of your question has more than one answer. If these single phase (120V) inverters are stackable and grid tie capable, then yes, two of them could act like a split phase inverter and power both lines of your breaker panel. But, the input sides of the inverters, coming from the solar panels, have to be isolated. Do not tie all the solar panels to both inverters. Tie half of the panels to one inverter and the other half to the second inverter. Full disclosure, I don't have any of these inverters and have no affiliation with the company making or selling them. I am a certified solar power systems engineer and system designer and just want to offer guidance where I think I can be helpful. |

Q: Does the buckle of the current limiter require wires?
A: It is recommended to use the correct diameter restrictor wire. If the wire is too thin, please loop the wire inside the current limiter buckle to reach the proper size of the buckle. If the wire is too thick, the current limiter buckle cannot be buckled, and the current limiter will not work.
Q: Why does the grid-tie inverter not work or stop after working for a while?
A: When the power of the load in the working state is too low, the grid-tie inverter will not be able to recognize the load, so the inverter cannot be started. After starting the grid-tie inverter, if the power of the working load is lower than 100w, the inverter may stop working.
We recommend that when using 1000w grid tie inverter, ensure that the load power in the working state is not less than 100w

Answer: | No, remember that you have two systems in play, a 12V DC and a 120V AC system. An alternator will charge the 12V battery system directly, thus you do not need this for that. Similarly, a solar system will charge the 12V directly via a charge controller (either PWM or MPPT), and in turn this inverter/charger is not involved. The only time this is charging is when you have a 120V source like from shore power or a generator. Now the inverter portion is in play when you do not have the generator or shore power connected so that you still have 120V AC. Without an inverter, you would only have 12V DC coming from the batteries and not have the ability to power anything that relies on 120V AC, like anything you have connected to a standard wall plug, microwave, and such. |

Answer: | This is rather long, sorry i try to explain how to calculate the amps and how to calculate the usage of power (Ah) of a battery drawdown or even just power usage so you can rate a converter of proper size. If we are discussing the xantrex freedom xc 2000. it is easy to figure amps. Divide the watts by the voltage, 2000 watt inverter divided by 120v's gives you roughly 16.67 amps useable. Same as a small fridge says it is a 800 watt fridge. 800/120v = 6.6amp is what the fridge uses on an hourly bases. . Now if you are trying to understand the battery amperage that will be used it is the same process. 800 watt small fridge 800/12v's =66.67amps. I run my Mach 8 9200 BTU camper A/C off of battery power. It runs at a rate of 1100 watts. So 1150/12v's=95.8 amps used every hour if the A/C runs the full 60 min. My battery bank is a lithium 600ah. so i would use 500ah or 5 full hours of run time leaving my batteries at about 100ah left or about 16% left in reserve. I actually never pull it that hard, usually no more than 480ah used. This should help you decide how to figure usage and draw. My A/C runs about 40 min. an hour when it is 100F+ out like today. I use about 40min/60min= 66% or 2/3 thirds of the 95.8 amps draw per hr. about 70amps per hour used I also produce about 50amps from my 800Watts of solar, it is an offset of power and I'm only using about 25 or 30 amps per/hr during a good bright day. I can run my A/C all day and only need to charge the batteries before bed time to run the A/C thru the night. So Generator time for about 2 hrs. Good for the night as the A/C cycles on less during the night. I use about 50amps per hour during the night or about 50% cycle time, I run the A/C for 7-8 hours during the night and then its charge time with solar and the Gen. a couple hrs. in the late morning. Hope this helps did not want to get to far into the weeds. |

Answer: | No, but . . . (and I don't mean to sound rude, here) I've found that the wisps are usually the result of either 1) a difficult glue-up where things need to be nearly in place before the glue is applied - which very often cannot be eliminated - or 2) poor technique. One advantage that I've found with this gun is that when I release the trigger, the flow is usually abated sufficiently to preclude the spider webs. A lot of that has to do with the amount of back-pressure the gun can build up on the molten glue and whether or not it's released when the trigger is released. I still have issues with them but I write it off to the nature of the beast or operator error. I'm going with nature of the beast for 200, Alex. :) |

Answer: | I build foam planes with it. If you glob a lot of glue in one spot it will melt the foam, but if you squeeze it out in a line it won't melt the foam. With lower watt guns by the time you get to the end of the glue line the beginning has started to set. That won't happen with this gun. But be warned, keep a cup of ice or ice water close in case you get the glue on yourself, it will burn you. |

Answer: | Given the experiences I've had with hot glue sticks, I wouldn't rely solely on hot glue for construction purposes - particularly where strength is relied upon for the safety of individuals (stairs, deck framing, handrails, etc). Even the high-temp glue tends to maintain its own integrity and won't fully bond with the wood the way a liquid wood glue will. I've only used two different glue sticks - clear and white (made for wood working) - and they both soften significantly when they get hot once they're in place (i.e. the sun shines on an assembled product or the product is stored in an attic). I expect there's a better woodworking hot glue out there but the way the glue cures is the nature of the beast and the curing process starts as soon as the glue leaves the gun. Also, and this could work to your advantage for temporary gluing . . . all it takes to break the bond is some alcohol in the joint. I have found that the hot glue works well as a temporary bond when used in conjunction with a liquid glue . . . liquid glue over a majority of the gluing surface with spots of hot glue in the corners. But I still rely on fasteners of some sort to complete the joint. |
