Question:	Can this run a coffee maker, I bought one thinking it should but once a I turn it on about 5 to 10 seconds later the loud buzzer turns on
Answer:	No the peak tailgater is more like 5 1/2 × 10 1/2.
Question:	What is the low-voltage-cutoff threshold for this unit
Answer:	No. Even a tiny dorm type fridge (despite only needing about 50 watts when running) uses several hundred watts to start the compressor so the initial surge would simply trip the inverter and it will not work. I use a 1500 watt inverter for our emergency fridge and the 3000 watt for the large kitchen fridge/freezer.
Question:	does this include the cable to connect to battery
Answer:	It must be connected to a substantial 12v DC power source. At full power it will draw approximately 90 amps of 12v DC power. The car lighter plug can only supply 15 amps. At full power it would drain most car batteries to shut off voltage in about 15 minutes if the engine is not running.
Question:	is the unit by itself 13.1 x 10.2 , cuz thats pretty big
Answer:	You want to secure it with something where you can remove it easily if you want to? Get a roll of Velcro from your Fred Meyers and put some on the bottom of the unit. Then put matching strips (they have sticky back on Velcro strips) on whatever you want to attach it to. It won't fall off, in fact you have to give the unit a pretty good tug to release it. I do this in my truck for my CB radio, since I only put it in when I'm going camping. I can't remember if the inverter has vents on the bottom, but if it does, don't put the Velcro there, but off to the edges of the inverter or something. Don't cover the vents, in other words. The inverter is fairly light in weight. You could even attach it upside down and it would hold with Velcro, no problem.

Question:	Can i hook up for shore power
Answer:	No, but . . . (and I don't mean to sound rude, here) I've found that the wisps are usually the result of either 1) a difficult glue-up where things need to be nearly in place before the glue is applied - which very often cannot be eliminated - or 2) poor technique. One advantage that I've found with this gun is that when I release the trigger, the flow is usually abated sufficiently to preclude the spider webs. A lot of that has to do with the amount of back-pressure the gun can build up on the molten glue and whether or not it's released when the trigger is released. I still have issues with them but I write it off to the nature of the beast or operator error. I'm going with nature of the beast for 200, Alex. :)
Question:	This unit broke on me after light use. Can I get a replacement or a troubleshooting guide
Answer:	I build foam planes with it. If you glob a lot of glue in one spot it will melt the foam, but if you squeeze it out in a line it won't melt the foam. With lower watt guns by the time you get to the end of the glue line the beginning has started to set. That won't happen with this gun. But be warned, keep a cup of ice or ice water close in case you get the glue on yourself, it will burn you.
Question:	If this inverter is 2000 watts, why can it only handle 500 watts
Answer:	Yes it will work with 7/16" sticks. It says it will work with 0.44" sticks which is what 7/16" comes out to.
Question:	Will this power a small air compressor
Answer:	Given the experiences I've had with hot glue sticks, I wouldn't rely solely on hot glue for construction purposes - particularly where strength is relied upon for the safety of individuals (stairs, deck framing, handrails, etc). Even the high-temp glue tends to maintain its own integrity and won't fully bond with the wood the way a liquid wood glue will. I've only used two different glue sticks - clear and white (made for wood working) - and they both soften significantly when they get hot once they're in place (i.e. the sun shines on an assembled product or the product is stored in an attic). I expect there's a better woodworking hot glue out there but the way the glue cures is the nature of the beast and the curing process starts as soon as the glue leaves the gun. Also, and this could work to your advantage for temporary gluing . . . all it takes to break the bond is some alcohol in the joint. I have found that the hot glue works well as a temporary bond when used in conjunction with a liquid glue . . . liquid glue over a majority of the gluing surface with spots of hot glue in the corners. But I still rely on fasteners of some sort to complete the joint.

Answer:	As a matter of fact, it can charge a prius, but first let's look at the additional gear you will need. First, you will need another vehicle to insert this inverter into. Any vehicle that runs will work. Next you will need a 110v prius charger. Make sure you get one that only uses ONE AMP. This might be hard to find, but another more powerful charger is only going to pop fuses and frustrate you. You CANNOT just plug your Prius into this inverter. Fuse will blow. We are now ready to begin charging your Prius. Step 1: Connect the inverter to the other car by plugging it into lighter socket. Step 2: Plug your new charger into the inverter into the inverter. Step 3: Plug the wire from the new charger into the auxiliary charging port on your Prius. Step 4: Start the other vehicle. Step 5: Check your charging indicator on the Prius to confirm charging. For a Prius C, the 168 volt battery, (34 cells x 8.4 volts x 6.5amp hours each) will hold 1856 watt hours. Let's say that your battery is 80% discharged and will require 1485 watt hours to be fully charged. Your new charger is capable of an output of 50 watts per hour. Even though the refrigerator may list the standard amperage draw to power the unit, the compressor could use up to six times that number when locked. Ultimately, if this unit were used to power a refrigerator, it was have to be fairly small.

Answer:	Hi, it's not a good idea to run amplifier by a Modified Sine Wave inverter, this is a MSW inverter, you'd better choose a Pure Sine Wave inverter. Because amplifier need clean input waveform.

Answer:	Well, the answer won't please you. This unit is rated at 2000 watts. To get 2000 watts at one end with 12v going in the other, you will need a wire that supports 167 amps, and if you include an efficiency factor, that makes it closer to 200 amps. That's a lot of amps out of your car battery. This is really intended to support a larger battery for solar purposes. If you pick too small a wire, the wire will heat up when the unit is at full load. Really heat up. The longer the run, the more it will heat if the wire isn't of sufficient gauge. A wire rated at 200 amps is huge. About zero gauge. In contrast, auto jumper cables are around four gauge and can carry about 70 amps, or 850 watts. But if you use a wire rated for the amperage, you can make the run fairly long. Hundred of feet in fact. Answer:	My lighter socket in the car only supplies 15 amps. I have powered a heating pad, computer and two cell phones with no problems. The heating pad was used with one cell phone plugged in. Haven’t tried it with every thing plugged in at once. Also there is a second cable with clamps (similar to battery cables)to go directly to a battery. I believe that cable can carry more than 15 amps. The unit itself has 30 Amp fuses for protection, I think that is to protect in when you do a direct connect to a battery. So if you are using it in the car I think you are fine. Ultimately it is the device(s) you are powering that determines the amperage actually drawn, so make sure those Colleyv timely are not requirenig more than 15 Amps.

Answer:	Hi Keith, I saw your question and thought I'd tell you what I know. I bought a 1500 Watt / 3000 serge about a year ago and the only thing I had to deal with is I had to put bigger cables from my batteries to the inverter. the ones that came with it weren't big enough. I had some 2AWG cable leftover from hooking up my solar panels and used that to go from the batteries to the inverter. I haven't had any problems since. I hooked it to my refrigerator and freezer and a few other things. I have 4 /100 amp hour batteries with 6 / 100-watt solar panels. For me, it's a really good inverter. I'm thinking about getting the 3000 watts / 6000-watt serge and a few more batteries so I can hook up more stuff. I hope it works as well.

Answer:	3 7/8 high 9/38 wide mounting flange to mounting flange 21 1/4 long from end of power screws to end of power recepticle. This is for the 3000 watt inverter.

Answer:	Highly recommend upgrading your cables from the what comes with it though if you plan on higher loads above 1500W. Also, make sure you have a suitable cable size (2 AWG or higher) to connect your batteries together. Just remember that your 100Ah batteries will really only get you about 50Ah each. It should be able to go from fully charged to minimum pulling a load if 1800W for about an hour (50Ahx12vx3), or a 100W load for about 16-18 hours. You'll lose a little bit in overhead and when you run it longer the overhead eats into you power availability.. If you have a constant load of 3000W, you'll only get a little above 30 minutes of use out of before your batteries will need recharging. Also @3000W , you'll be pulling 250 Amps (3000/12V) so you should be using at least 00 or 000 cables to connect the inverter.. Each battery will pull ~83A each so make sure that each battery can supply it.

Answer:	I've run a 1500 Watt space heater along with a 360 Watt big screen TV using this inverter and it works just fine. Runs the batteries down pretty quickly though.

Answer:	I use mine on flooded 6v batteries. Think you'd be okay with AGM. I would check with Aims directly about the gel and lithium.
Question:	Looking at the pictures of the unit, how would you plug AC shore power into the unit
Answer:	You can’t run shore power through the inverter. Otherwise you would be limited to 1000 watt (no where near 30amp) Have to run it through a transfer switch or to a sub panel with a few of your plugs. Check with Aims they have a great customer support
Question:	Will this item automatically restart when grid power is respored after the batteries have been fully discharged to unit low voltage shutdown
Answer:	Yes the inverter is designed to source household power first and default to that. As well if battery voltage is below required level it will go into error mode and not produce power.
Question:	Does this have a multistage charger? What voltages does it use
Answer:	Contact - tech support @aimscorp.net/ they can give you voltage numbers. The manual doesn’t appear to give charging voltage range, only the float charge of 13.5 V, with a manual selection of 25 or 55 Amp charge depending on battery bank AH size, with a minimum of 200AH.
