Answer:	I just wanted to say that I just bought two 12v 100ah each GEL batteries and just found out they need no more than 14.1 charging volts. More might deplete the life of your batteries. So if you're using solar, the charge controller needs to put out no more than 14.1v going to the batteries. I intend to use my batteries for something else so I got a battery charger for GEL batteries. Just a little info that I didn't know before. Hope this helps.

Answer:	If the system is 12 volt. It could be 24volt. If so 24v inverters are available. 30 x 120v =3600watts. And 4000÷12=480amps plus at 12v it wouldn't likely be enough at full output. But who uses everything at once. I would add a deepcycle battery or two. 100ah or more each. And a battery isolator. That way with small loads you will have a few hours. Without engine running. And still have starting power. And still have the added batteries charged by the alternator. Rambling I know. Hope I helped

Answer:	This has both a terminal strip with M3(?) Screws and 2ea L5-15 receptacles. Using 'yellow' crimp terminals, you can connect 12awg stranded wire to the terminal block. If you want to use the plug sockets, use 2 plugs with at least 16 gauge wire (12A) on both, and join the plug leads together. IMHO, the 'cheap' sockets won't sustain 15A for long without overheating.

Answer:	This inverter system and remote switch provided is a "manual only" simple push button on/off switch, with a power on light and a "fault" light on the remote switch plate. The power usage display is on the inverter. The remote switch uses a 150 volt rated 4 prong wire, with telephone style connectors on both ends (15 foot is provided). This unit is designed as a manual only push button on/off system but that being said, a power failure system could be wired using a series of relays to activate the on/off side of the switch (2 wires) but you would have to design the relay system yourself to make it work.

Answer:	In my system the charge controller is between the Solar Panel and the batteries. The inverter is between the batteries and the point of use. That would mean the charge controller charges the battieries and the inverter drains them. They have no direct interaction except the storage batteries. I have no experience trying to connect the Solar Panels directly to the point of use without a battery bank between them.

If the batteries need a low voltage shutoff like some lithium do you may need to have a seperate protection circuit for that. It’s likely that you’ll want to choose an inverter charger combo that’s designed for lifepo instead of a simple unit like this.

If using a parallel connection, those people are only considering the current that gets delivered TO THE CONTROLLER. However, All MPPT controllers will lower the voltage to match your battery while simultaneously increasing the current. So the current can rise from the typical 5.5 Amps per panel up to approximately 9.0 Amps per panel when the battery is low. That would make the current coming FROM the controller TO your batteries about 36 Amps!!! Your 30 Amp controller wouldn’t last very long. So the summary is: Definitely play it safe and go for a 40A MPPT charge controller with a parallel connection. Or use the lower 20/30 Amp MPPT designs with a series connection ONLY! By the way: The PWM controllers will throw away all the voltage above your battery voltage (unlike the MPPT controllers) . This can waste as much as 40% of your solar panels output when your battery is low !!!! (E.g. solar panel puts out 18.5 volts and your 3S lithium battery is at 10.0 Volts. Say goodbye to about 7 to 8 Volts!!! I would stay away from the PWM controllers if you can afford the better MPPT designs.
