Use the voltage (120) and the load size usually in watts. If the the load is in amps you don't even need to do any calculation. Caution!! you cannot hook these from your generator to a battery for charging!! A generator puts out 120v a battery is 12... |

I originally used a 7 port USB charger to power the Dots but noticed a horrible hissing sound coming out of the amps when no music was playing. The signal was enough to prevent the amps from going to sleep. I replaced the USB charger with the four original Amazon power bricks that came with the Dots and everything now works perfectly. The issue was simply line noise from the USB power source... Only down side is I need four outlets instead of one but I can live with it. |
