Answer:	I've been using mine for almost 2 years and it still works great. I can get 6 or 8 jumps for a V8 engine without recharging the device- Quite impressive considering we used to have to have those huge spare batteries or jump from another car. Everybody should have at least one of these!

Answer:	These products with the short cables are intended for direct connection to both terminals of the battery. This is NOT a recommended practice when jump starting with booster cables between vehicles, because the high current potential could cause sparking (when connecting) which could ignite battery gases. That's where you need the good (away from battery) ground spot to make the last connection safely. These products however don't present that hazard when connecting.

Answer:	The battery doesn't retain the charge too good, if unused. And the reporting on the LCD is misleading: After a full charge and months of non-use, it still indicated 91%. When I connected the jumper cable to begin to jumpstart the car, it suddenly dropped to 68% ! And that was NOT sufficient to jumpstart a size 24F battery (4.3L gas engine, if that makes any difference), even though the green LED light was flashing (then turned solid) to indicate the battery charge was ok to jumpstart. I charged it for a few hours to get back to 100%, and then the jumpstart worked. So, always check real battery charge level with jumper cable plugged in.

Answer:	Hey Mike, I would not attempt this. Instead, obtain a couple of large capacitors of equal values and component(s) that when wired through your battery, will charge and have extra oomph to cycle and release to your power your sub. Your car audio will also be able to be operated w/o pulling down your battery charge, (ignition off) when the proper caps are in place and charged. That's what I'd do, after accumulating the proper cap values and wiring scheme, or describing your needs to an installer local to your area. Introducing a separate DC power supply w/an unknown "sound" (meaning NOISE) and storage/duration/operation capacity into your application makes me suggest the more time honored method. You'd need to research deeper than my general description, but that should be easy...and you could do it yourself as I would! But I'd not attempt assembling your proposed set-up. Incidentally, if you ONLY listen to tunes while your car is running, you should not even need any of this. If that is the case but you feel that your sub is not outputting sufficiently, a different crossover point, or a vent sliced into your rear deck (if SOLIDLY trunk mounted in a car) are options. Any sub REQUIRES SOLID MOUNTING to the vehicle. You could purchase a better sub, larger driver/more power, or double up by buying another one just as you have now. Always run RCA output from your head unit to your sub(s) and use the suggested gauge cable from the battery with no splices. Answer:	These batteries can have a surface charge that will show up as a good voltage (12.6 = 100%) but lack the ability to push the current (amperes) due to being worn out, damaged, etc. To properly test one it needs to be load tested with a...with a....with a......with a battery load tester! This test will attempt to draw a good amount of current from the battery while giving you the voltage reading. I used to sell batteries and without a good charge and a load test I couldn't tell if a battery was good or bad. You can sometimes even see this same phenomenon on a small rechargeable cell (like a NiCad) that you just take off of the charger. You check and it's up to snuff at 1.2+ volts, put it into a device, try the device and it might work for a second then quit. Check the voltage again and it's 1.1v or worse! Without a load tester I just review rhe performance it has exhibited (like your situation) and make my best call. Auto parts stores and service center/garages usually can load test automotive batteries. I don't know about these smaller ones. But if you have a fully charged battery then try to use it and it seems to go dead in seconds right before your eyes, it's probably bad. Check the voltage again immediately* and you shouldn't have lost much voltage if it's a good battery. (*Even when bad, if you let the battery sit for a while it will probably very slowly regain much of its charge.) Remember to practice good risk assessment. I often head out into the desert alone for days on end and my practice is to replace my truck's battery before it's gone bad. (3-6 months before warranty is up.) That way I have a spare battery in the bed of the truck for emergencies. The risk assessment tells me that battery, if needed, could be worth $1,000 to me at times! Good luck!

Answer:	Yes - this unit will inflate tires past 60 psi. I have 110 tires on my 5th wheel. In a bind, I have added air with this unit. It takes a while and you will need a separate gauge to know when it goes above 60 psi, but it does inflate more than what the gauge indicates.
Question:	Can this item stay plugged into AC and stay charged up for use
Answer:	Yes, you can leave it plugged in and ready for use. However, I found that you do not need to worry about it discharging without it plugged in and just siting there unused. It is amazing that once charged, it holds that charge for a long time. This is a fantastic product. It is better than any others that I have owned previously.

Answer:	This is a 12V battery about 1/3 the size of most car batteries in an easy-to-carry case. When you first connect it up via the jumper cables, a fair amount of power will be "shared" between batteries (which I think of like having 2 buckets of water where you connect them and the water level balances out depending on how much each had and the sizes). Although that can provide a fair "charge" pretty fast (which may be enough to get a car started), it is very limited and will never "recharge" the other battery 100%. If you have this connected to another battery and plug in its AC charger, power will go to both batteries, but the chargers in these only put out 0.5 amps where it can take 24 hours just to charge itself if heavily drained so it can take several days to charge itself and a drained car battery connected up together. So that's probably why most manuals say "disconnect everything while charging" discouraging doing that, but it can work (if you don't mind the time it takes). Otherwise if you want to be able to charge a car battery in less than a day, you'll want a 5-10 amp car charger.

Answer:	Dave, I don’t know the exact thickness of the metal. I took the lid off the container and used both hands to see if I could make the the metal walls of the container flex. I could not make the walls of the container flex, very sturdy! I should note that a standard grocery store loaf of bread is too long to fit in the container.
