User questions & answers
Question: | the 40lb item weight, is that for all |
Answer: | Yes, I purchased them and they actually weighted about 11lbs each jack... |
Question: | How far apart are two top bolts/scissor-arm-axles, center to center? Want to use existing welded plates on frame |
Answer: | Hello, If you talking about the bolts in the mounting plate. They are 2 inches apart. Front to back. That is center of bolts. Hope that helps. |
Question: | Do these have to be mounted in order to use as stabilizer |
Answer: | Yes, have to be mounted either by bolts or by welding, it’s for the safety |
Question: | What is the retracted length, is it 12" or 26 ½? Please reply soon |
Answer: | I can only verify information on items sold by classacustoms Extend Height: 24" Collapsed Height: roughly 4" Collapsed Length: roughly 27" (this includes screw) If the distance between the ground and your trailer frame is less than 20 inches you should use 24 inch jacks (not 30 inch jacks) Do Not use the scissors jack to lift excessive weight or tires off the ground. Jack is made to stabilize your unit, not lift unit off the ground. Vehicle frame and door jam damage may result. Do Not use these scissors jack as a tire changing jack. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the max extension of the c-4? Looks like it extends only 3". Am i reading this right |
Answer: | Yes. The extension is 3". I used these to level our mobile home....saved me HUNDREDS of dollars and I got it done correctly. This jack supports 18000 pounds. As an engineer, I appreciate how this jack is made and how WELL it is made |
Question: | What is the manufacturer's maximum recommended working load for one jack |
Answer: | Max-18,000 lbs- more info at website www.akronproducts.com. Hope this helps |
Question: | how far do these expand |
Answer: | On the akron website and on the c-4 adjustable floor jack box itself it says the range is lowest 12" to 15" highest. I see comments that say it has a 6" range but that would not be correct for this jack and if installed to that extension would probably not be safe. That said akron does sell a large variety of adjustable floor jacks with a range of extensions. I bought this one because I had a space of about 13" that needed to go up only slightly to level out the floor. |
Question: | How does one "jack them up?" Can I extend these until they touch the beams under my fifth wheel and then jack them up to hold my slid out up |
Answer: | Yes, you turn the collar on the top of the shaft-it is threaded-to raise or lower the top plate. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does anyone know the size of the hex nuts that come with these jacks? I need a spare and Home Depot is useless for anything larger than |
Answer: | Per Camco customer service on July 6, 2018: "I’m sorry we do not sell that nut by itself. The nut size is M20 x 2.5. Thank you." |
Question: | I see at-least two people used these to make a standing desk. To those people: how stable is the desk?(how far did you lift it |
Answer: | Very stable, would buy them again, a very good deal |
Question: | What's the difference between these and car jack stands? Can you use these for cars |
Answer: | These are NOT car jack stands - (that are designed to hold cars off of the ground). These are RV jack stands that are designed to stabilize and level a parked RV with the tires on the ground. Big difference. No way is "one stand" rated for 6000lbs (3 tons). The base is light-duty aluminum. DP NOT USE THESE AS CAR JSCK STANDS. |
Question: | for 4 of these which are each rated at 6000lbs each, free two day shipping (prime) and it's aluminum. Why shouldn't I get these for my car |
Answer: | These are maybe 1/10th as tough as car jack stands. The capacity rating is ONLY true when shared with the wheels, NOT for lifting that amount of weight fully off the ground, which is how car jack stands are rated. They are also only designed for PERECTLY level loads, the slightest angle and your vehicle will either slide off, or these tiny things will fall over sideways. There are two reviewers here who provided pictures of these failing. In short, don't do it... get proper automotive jack stands. Too many people die while working under their vehicles each year. |

User questions & answers
Question: | I'd like to use these to lift my compact sedan and suv to place on stands. Would these work? I really like how high they go |
Answer: | These are stabilizing jacks and as such are not really suitable for lifting that much weight. However they would probably lift the sedan . Suggestion! For safeties sake get a floor jack discount tool stores have them for under $100. |
Question: | I'm having trouble gettingg the mounting bolt to bite into the metal of the frame. What exactly bolt and drill bit are you using |
Answer: | You have to get a drill bit made for steel. I think they are Milwaukee brand but not exact sure as my husband purchased |
Question: | Where are these things made |
Answer: | I am not sure. We don’t have the package anymore. |
Question: | What size bolts do I need to attach these to my rv |
Answer: | I was able to reuse the bolts that came with the original jacks on my Flagstaff trailer. The jacks bolted right up without any additional drilling required. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How sturdy are these? i have a class b rv that weighs about 9500 lbs dry (only 4 wheels). i used plastic block levelers from campingworld and they broke in their first use |
Answer: | This is my second set of these blocks (because I needed more to level on steep incline) only one of the first ten has failed and that's because i did line it up with the jack. My class A Rv weighs 22000 dry they have served me well for 6 months |
Question: | What's the difference between Camco 44512 and 44505 models |
Answer: | 44505 is our leveling blocks. 44512 is our Fasten Leveling Blocks with T-Handle. You can give us a call at 800-334-2004 if we can be of further assistance. Thanks. |
Question: | What is the weight limit for these Camco blocks? For the Camco Trileveler it is only 4000 lbs |
Answer: | I've used them used under the wheels of some rather large class A motorhomes. What destroys them is if they start to slide when you drive onto them. You have to orient them like a staircase so that you are not attempting to "climb" more than the thickness of "one block per step". Rough, rocky ground can also damage them. In many situations, you'll need more than just 10 blocks. If you really want to be prepared, get 20, or even 30 blocks (two or three 10-pks.) If you use them under the rear of a motorhome that has duals, you need separate "staircases" of blocks for inner/outer wheels, because the blocks are not wide enough to support both inner and outer wheels on the width of a single block. |
Question: | What are the dimensions of each block |
Answer: | 8 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 1 Warning: The 10 answers you will find here all have one thing in common, none of them had a clue but decided to added a few inches here and there. If you can't scroll down the description to find the dimensions, maybe it's time to put your mouse pad away for the winter. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will these work for a TT with a dry weight of about |
Answer: | I put them on a 2012 rockwood ultra lite and they work fine. The holes might not all line up I did have to drill one of the holes to match the frame but they work great. |
Question: | I have a camper with a smaller frame. Am only able to bolt on the 4 center holes. Will this hold or should i like into something smaller |
Answer: | These keep the corners steady, after you are parked and about level. They stop the trailer from rocking on the tires that hold it up. No one jack should/could ever be in a situation where it holds up the whole trailer. ("For my next trick, I will now balance a whole trailer on ONE jack!"? NOT!) Nor should all four be the only things holding up your trailer. Stabilizers. They are also NOT for changing the trailer tires. So, basically: No. (That being said, I do confess that I did once use the front two jacks to pick up the front end of my trailer momentarily, as a response to the result of a brazen act of temporary insanity. I have only a 300-lb tongue weight, though.) (Did I mention "ALWAYS chock your tires first."?) |
Question: | will it fitt a 21 foot forest river patriot addition |
Answer: | It's a big standard bolt-and-nut. A clockwise screw-turn will tighten/raise, a counter-clockwise will looses/lower. |
Question: | Have a 2018 rockwood ultra lite that has 2 3/8 wide I beam frame will these stabilizers secure to this frame |
Answer: | I think you’re asking if the bolt pattern is compatible. There’s a good chance you’ll need to drill one new hole but that’s not a big deal. |
