There are many range and sizes, which one should I choose?

Different drive sizes and torque ranges often causes confusion. Let's clear it up.

The higher the torque range capacity, the longer the handle, which means more leverage. Having to use a long handle torque wrench at low torque setting could over-tighten or snap a bolt.

Keep in mind that the optimal user experience for torque needed applications falls between 30-90% of the torque wrench's capacity.

Click Torque Tools

Users are able to feel and hear a click at the exact moment the torque setting is reached.

Be gentle and pay close attention at low torque settings. Continued application of force after the click has been reached can cause the torque wrench to go past the desired setting, over-tightening and snap the bolt.

When should I re-calibrate my torque wrench?

Torque tools are measuring equipment and subject to natural wear. Calibration is recommended once a year or 5000 load cycles, depending on usage.

Torque Wrench Best Practices

- First, test the torque wrench with a bolt by setting the torque to 30% of max capacity, familiarize yourself with the click.

- Secondly, tighten the bolt by hand or with a wrench until it is slug; then fasten the nut with the torque wrench, it will click when torque setting is reached.

Answer:	I doubt that you really meant "circumference". The interior isn't exactly circular, and the flat part of the bottom is smaller that the rim. The rim is a circle about 19" in DIAMETER. I estimate that we lose 1.5" on each side from rim and taper, so the bottom would be 13" in diameter if it was actually round. But the circle is truncated by about another 2". I think a softener tank 11" in diameter would fit OK. I don't know if the ribs in the bottom could support a full softener, which probably weighs over 100 lbs when full. With a tank sitting in it, this would only hold a gallon or so before overflowing. Why not buy a catch pan for water heaters and run a pipe or hose to your floor drain?

Taiwan is definitely not China given that they're a staunch ally of the US and literally at an armed standoff with China, so no one should have any qualms buying this rather thoughtfully designed and well made drain pan. Mine is rather full and heavy after I've drained the oil from the diesel engine in my truck, and it doesn't flex while handling and pouring the used oil into multiple containers for transport to our local recycling center. I'd definitely buy another one if I had the need for it.

Answer:	Yes, a higher tonnage jack stand will be more stable and in many cases provide a higher lift range. At the same time you need to know the minimum lift height the vehicles you're working on will need but this is more a matter of the jack not the stand. Any decent jack will lift high enough for a 3 ton stand unless it's an odd spot on a lifted (SUV or truck) vehicle. I would say go for the 3 ton for a regular sized car or small crossover. Remember that 3 ton capacity is a rating for the PAIR of stands, not per stand.

Question:	Is this jack suitable to lift my motor to replace freeze plugs under the motor mounts

Question:	What is the diameter of the saddle? Looking to get a rubber pad and need to know the size
Answer:	Outside diameter of the saddle pad is 4 1/4" .... There is a shoulder ( approximately 1/4" or more) to consider and inside diameter of it is 3 5/8" ... If I were putting a rubber pad on mine, I would stick with a 3 1/2" diameter... Another option, to maintain full pad diameter, would be to go with a 4 1/2" rubber pad and machine a surface just for that shoulder and the 4 dog ears that stand even a little taller. Good luck...

Answer:	Tundra empty weighs 5400 pounds. This is a 2.5 ton jack. 2.5 tons equals 5000 pounds. It won’t lift the whole car up at once but it can lift the weight of one wheel high enough to change a tire.
