Question:	This charger is rated up to 50 amps. Is it auto sensing or it a manual switch? More to the point, what wire size is needed
Answer:	The charger can deliver up to 50 continuous amps, which would require a circuit wired for at least 60 amps (60 amp circuit can deliver 80% of rating, so 48 amps). 60 amp circuits at 80% require 6 gauge wire. You set the maximum capacity of the charger when you configure it on the ChargePoint amp. EVs only draw the amount they are capable of charging at - so 9.6 Kw for most EVs except Teslas (240 V times 40 amps) New Teslas can draw above 50 amps, so that is what the max setting on the app does - it limits the safe output to the circuit capacity. There is no manual switch on the charger, it is all set through the app.
Question:	Is it possible to extend the nema 14-50 plug cable length by swapping it like you would a dryer
Answer:	This is why you need to research electrical codes or use an electrician. The 12” requirement in NEC 625.22 mandates the 12” applies to the “personal protection system” location to the plug not to the cord length from plug to vehicle that requirement is a minimum of of 6’ and max of 15’. Just google NEC 625 page 4 section 625.17 for more details

Answer:	No. I set the charge limit to 70% in my vehicle (I can also do 80% or other value). Then I set the charge time (10pm-6am) in the ChargePoint app. An alternative is to have a short charge time (say 10-12pm). The charger does not know how much the vehicle is charged.
Question:	If the app experiences a problem or ChargePoint stops supporting it, what’s the default setting for amperage and is there a manual way to change it
Answer:	Hi there, Before you set up ChargePoint Home using the ChargePoint mobile app, the default amperage is set at 16A. However, once you select your preferred amperage during the set up process in the app, the chosen amperage (up to 50A) becomes your default going forward. Question:	The manufacturer's website says it requires a 40-amp fuse for protection. Has anyone had experience plugging into a 30-amp fuse
Answer:	Ok from the NEC you are required to run 40 amps for this device. Then what should be done is place a 30 amp disconnect before the device. So from the panel you will run 8 gauge wire to support the 40 amps. Then that will terminate in the disconnect which would be fused at 30 amps. So if the devices pulls more than 30 it will blow the fuse since this device shouldn't be drawing MORE than 30 amps.

Answer:	Yes you can, use 65 pound power pro with 40 pound fluro carbon leader! I caught 75 pound blue fin tuna on this reel and I was curious to see how much line they ran off when I hooked the fish. I set the dragbat 20 pounds using a fish scale to set the drag. The average blue fin in the 50 to 75 pound range ran off 120 feet of line. The reel held up fine and the drags were smooth after 30 fish!!

Answer:	being aluminum and a casting it is hard to say.what i would do is secure it in a vice with cardboard wrapped around the arm so you do not mar the arm.see if you can tap it with a piece of wood and a hammer.a little at a time.if it snaps off go to ace hardware and buy some pc7 epoxy,it is a 2 part epoxy that mixes like clay,it will not run and is thick.grind the ends to a point and fill in with pc7.you can smooth it with a wet finger.you may need to hold it in place with tape at each end of the reel seat.it takes 24 hours to dry and can be sanded and painted,i have used this to repair a cracked block.hope this helps.

Answer:	I perfer one piece rods. Ugly sticks make a lot of good heavy Rods that work well with this reel. I have an ugly stick with one and a Shimano rod with another. The ugly stick is about 6'6" and the other one is a lil over 7'

Answer:	On my car i just unlock the car with the keyfob which releases the charger port lock you are referring to, but only temporary (ie: you need to unplug within 30 seconds or so, or the car will relock it) Another alternative is to simply unplug this from the wall.

Answer:	At 120V the charger charges at 1/2 the rate of 240 Volts The calculation of KVA or KW depends on both amps and volts. So if you use this charges at 240V, it is a 3.6 KW charger and at 120V it is a 1.8 KW. At either voltage the amp draw can be as high at 16 AMPS.

We bought the NEMA6-20 plug with level 1 adapter unit. The product was shipped well and arrived as scheduled. A couple of key things we like over the factory supplied charger: The wall hook to easily wrap the cord around and the "gun" holder you stick the charger into while it is not charging in the car. It's light weight and smaller than our original charger. It is nice to be able to easily adapt to the charging outlets available. We charged on 110 until we bought the 220 outlet and it was a simple switch for us. That option was available on the factory charger. We are happy so far!

• Our EV Charger working current is 16A. Please check your breaker whether more than 16A. (18A, 20A, 30A .... is also OK)
• The good choice is the 18A or 20A circuit breaker. Otherwise, it will trip your breaker if the breaker max Amp is lower than 16A.

• The NEMA 6-20 plug can fit with NEMA 6-20 socket. The unit used with NEMA 5-15 adapter can fit with NEMA 5-15 / 5-20 socket.

Question:	How fast should i expect my ford fusion energi to charge with this when the battery is empty
Answer:	The fusion energi has a ridiculously small range.. With that said it would charge by 2018 volt battery in about 3 hours, which gave me about 58 real world miles. I would expect if your fusion on board charge controller allows for level 2 charging and you are using 240v it would be even faster than that. I would not recommend this product though, I sent mine back because it was Not charging the battery efficiently and reducing my overall mileage ( only getting half charge). This is not a quality product and I wouldn't waste your time and money on it.

Answer:	A nema 6-20 plug is what mine came with. I recommend going by the listing description, Which does advertise a 6 - 20 plug which is correct. I believe they offer different plug variations so they are probably using the same picture on each listing and it does seem confusing. Just make sure when you add the item to your cart and you check out that the item description remains a 6-20. On a positive note I can tell you from 1st hand experience that their customer service is excellent and if there were any issues they would solve them right away. I've been very pleased with my charger.

Question:	Can I use a 5-15 adapter and plug this into a 120V outlet? Outlet and adapter would be covered but rest out in the rain
Answer:	I would assume it would. I have a 65 inch flat screen TV on mine and it fits great. So I would think a curved TV should work fine.
