Answer:	1 1/4 " thin. It fits inside the bung hole with ease. Good Luck ! I like mine, I bought two. They're flimsy & fragile, but for water only, there ok. Often, I'll just use to siphon start a hose that's poked into a 55gal barrel. I wish these were Stainless Steel & Hell for Stout. But what are you gonna do ?

Answer:	Seems sturdy enough...has certainly taken some hits already and didnt crack. As far as unused for years...it would all come down to what you were pumping and whether or not the product you were pumping would dry out in the seals (and cause you to break the pump trying to force it). My crew breaks everything (somehow) and they haven't broken this yet so take that for what it is worth!

Question:	Can you unscrew the end to put a hose on the end
Answer:	Although these pumps self prime, they don't appear to do it well. I get widely different amounts of fluid per rotation of the pump handle for the three FR112C pumps I purchased. It can take anywhere from 55 to 85 revolutions to move 5 gallons of fluid whether gasoline or diesel fluid. After rearranging counters, resealing unions with teflon tape, swapping fluids, it appears the variation is due to the pump only partially priming each time it is used. Perhaps over time when pumping a lot of fluid they will more completely prime, then after they sit they will eventually need to reprime.

It is a manual nozzle that must be turned off by hand. Answer:	We have used this pump in both metal drum and clear/white drums. There are 2 types of threads at the top of the drums, one is course and the other fine thread. I haven't used it on the blue drums, but it should work.
