What is OBD-II?

On-board diagnostics (OBD) is an automotive term referring to a vehicle's self-diagnostic and reporting capability. Vehicles produced after 1996 use OBD-II, which is a standardized system that simplifies the process a whole lot. Will it read ABS/ airbag codes?

Sorry, NT301 obdii scanner is able to read and clear check engine information which is part of OBDII system, but it cannot work on non-OBDII systems(ABS/airbag/oil service light,ect.). How to update the FX2000?

Update this scan tool via USB cable or TF card, here's the upgrade guide via USB cable following.

Step 1: Before starting the upgrade, please connect this device to a computer via the USB cable, and make the network connection stable. (It supports WIN XP, 7, 8, 10 operating systems.)

Step 2: Download the update software from ANCEL official website (refer to the manual) and install it on a PC.

Step 3: Open the software tool, select the connection mode “USB” and click “OK” to continue. The "Product Serial Number" will be read automatically, then hit “Device Upgrade”.

Step 4: Move to the register page, type your email address and Register Code will be read automatically, then hit “Submit”.

Step 5: Click “Select All” and click “Download” to start downloading.

Step 6: When the 2 progress bars reach 100%, the upgrade completes. Click “Quit” and disconnect the USB cable.

Step 1: Go to LAUNCH official website(refer to the "user manual" in the "Technical Specification "section of product webpage) and click Updating Tool Download icon.

Step 2: Download and install the CRP123 update tool and launch the program when installed.

Step 3: You will be prompted to type in the serial # (located on the back of the tool)

Step 4: Hit [Device Upgrade] to enter the register page, type your email info (check the "Register Code" on the device menu "Help--Tool Information" ).

Note: the “User password” is equal to the “Register Code.”

Step 6: Reopen the CRP update Suite and select the updates you would like to preform or click select all and click Download.

Step 7: Once all steps are complete, reinsert the TF card into the tool and power the tool via USB in computer or via OBD2 port in vehicle. The tool will prompt you to upgrade, select OK button on tool to proceed.
