Answer:	We are using it with a PC, but we tried it with our Mac when we first got it to make sure it worked as we may someday go totally Mac. It DID work just fine with the Mac.
Question:	Will it encript account numbers, so they dont get saved on the pc
Answer:	No. This is a keyboard emulator. It reads the account data from a check and types it into the data field or document where the curor is on the computer. If the cursor is in the wrong place, say the URL line instead of the data field, the text from the check data will be written there. Even if the software you are using encrypts and hides the data upon receiving it, there is nothing to prevent a rogue employee from switching apps and rescanning the check in something like an Excel spreadsheet. To that end, there is nothing to prevent the same rogue employee from snapping a picture of the check on a cell phone to capture the account data, account holder info, and signature.This device is very good at its intended purpose; typing the check account data for you. You would need to write the software that prevents the misuse of data.
Question:	Will this scanner work with Quickbooks
Answer:	The scanner works fine with a can program Power Church. If the quick books program accepts the check scanner then yes but I would Google it first on line to find out if Quick Books accepts check readers into it's program before you purchase it.

Answer:	One check at a time. It's not meant for batching any jobs. Just one task at a time. This works perfectly for us since our people are simply scanning one check, then, working with that info before moving onto the next check.

Answer:	No, this is not a standalone code reader. This device only communicates between the vehicle computer / modules and a chosen software program, in my case I used it along with FORScan. Used with FORScan or another compatible software program the answer is yes, one could reset DTC's.

Answer:	Some of these will not work on some ford vehicles and will say "can not comunicate". I have an older ome that works on fords and a newer one that does not. Not sure if this helps in your situation. Also when hooked up and connected to your device give it some time and keep hitting refresh. Some vehicles take longer.
