Answer:	It is not a temperture guage it is a pressure guage. It reads in psi and inches of mercury.

Answer:	Even though the oil gets dark, it's still good for a while. I have done 4 cars so far, and it is still fairly clean.

Question:	What is the diameter of the hoses
Answer:	Sort of, yes. It has a schrader valve you have to press with a screwdriver or other pointed device. You can also loosen the refrigerant hose at the manifold to purge the line and fill the manifold with refrigerant. This is a nice little system, worked very well for my needs. Be sure to keep the high side manifold knob closed when recharging you system.
