Answer:	The buffing pad has a “hook and loop” (Velcro) backing, which adheres to a hook and loop backing pad that attaches to your buffer.

Answer:	No hook and loop. You need a threaded adapter to use this double sided wool pad. The double sided pads are the standard in the marine world for cutting/polishing gelcoat. I've used these tcp pads and they are comparable to 3M

Answer:	The shaft is actually a 3" piece of pvc, it was not listed on the packaging details either. I have no idea what it is for, perhaps some sort of spacer. This is a good quality pad that holds up well.

Answer:	I have yet to see one. I believe Milwaukee has one. I use my dewalt right angle but with only a 3 inch pad.

Answer:	I cleaned the by hand with dishwashing liquid and dried slowly inside the house near a lamp

Answer:	The TCP kit comes with a 5/8" x24 backing plate adapter and I believe the XP dual action polisher has a 5/16" x 24 thread mount. So the three inch backer plate won't mount.
Question:	Could you use this to clean water spots off glass
Answer:	I suppose you could, but I wouldn't recommend it. It depends on what you're using it on. If it's automotive glass, you could risk damaging the lamination in the glass if you overheat it. And worse, if you use too harsh of an abrasive you could wind up with swirls in the glass you'd have to look through. Question:	where are the instructions ,which pad to use for what job
Answer:	These are light duty pads for smaller jobs, like motorcycles or guitars. The yellow wool pad is for heavy "cutting"; removing heavy oxidation and scratches. Usually used with a polishing compound, slow to medium speeds. The white wool pad is for lighter cutting with a less aggressive compound. The yellow foam pad is usually used with something like a swirl remover or very light scratches. The black pad is the least aggressive and is used with a final polish or wax. Mine didn't come with "instructions" either, but then none of the machine pads I've used have come with instructions. For more detailed instructions, you can do a quick search on YouTube for detailing techniques.

Answer:	the big difference is the hole in the middle. do u know why? so it doesn't get too hot.

Question:	How do you attach this
Answer:	My buffer/polisher came with a pad screwed onto the shaft that comes out of the machine. I am talking about a professional type buffer, Maybe like a 1/2 inch course thread???? Not sure of the size. Anyway this pad has Velcro on it and a hole in the middle. You line up the foam pad with a tube that came with the set I bought, This makes sure that the pad is centered, and the Velcro holds if to the Buffer. Much more pricey but not any better pads attach the same way so the Velcro on the buffer is standard. Some of the pricey ones come with the centering tube attached to each foam pad. I assume they have a patent on it. These work fine just the tube that aligns the pad is separate. Different color foam indicates varying degrees of the buffing ability for the pad. This is not for a orbital type waxing machine that you have elastic that holds the cloth on!! Hope this helps.
Question:	Are you using this with a rotary machine or a dual action machine? I need to polish the oxidation off a fiberglass boat.I'm
Answer:	I am useing with a rotary to apply 3M Finesse It Marine to my boat. I have very light oxidation and the hull is in "good" shape. In the test spots it did very well to remove that light oxidation and polish the fibergalss up to a shiny finish. Not as deep of shine that I was looking for from just the pad, I had to go back over it with a wool buffer quickly to get that to really become glossy, but again, it did do a good job.

Answer:	If they are wool pads, then I would think it would work. I used this on a 10" wool buffing pad, and it worked well. Just start using light pressure and see how it works. If you need to use more pressure, then increase it in steps to avoid any damage.
