Question:	Are the fibers twisted or untwisted
Answer:	Yes, you can use them to apply leather conditioner to boots and/or anything. I use these to apply leather conditioner to my leather seats in my Range Rover. They are great at evenly applying just about anything to anything. Not limited to car use. I am not sure why the previous answer would say otherwise, they are a foam applicator pad, marketed for car people, but can be used for anything.
Question:	Is it Velcro
Answer:	I've used these applicators for all 3 products with great results... I would be careful to not mix them up or at least to clean them thoroughly between uses.
Question:	Is there a way to effectively wash this and reuse after using with a buffing compound
Answer:	Yes you can. It makes it a lot easyer to do. However...if you have scratches that do not come out with this and your scratch remover, you will need to move to a wool pad or like a terry cloth towel to get more aggressive. Hope it helps!
Question:	Will this work with a da porter cable to remove wet sanding marks? my microfiber pads aren't removing the haze
Answer:	The yellow X3070 is for hand wax application. The Meguiar's DMC5 microfiber cutting pad is used on a dual action polishing machine, and should be used with a micro cutting compound. The yellow pad is a foam wax applicator, while the white pad is micro abrasive to remove a fine layer of clear, ("remove" scratches).

Answer:	Other pads are better suited for that job. I use Chemical Guys pads with Meguiar's Ultra-Cut Compound 105 on the Porter Cable 7424XP Random Orbit Polisher and the micro-scratches come right out. In my experience, that's a better combination (of compound and pads) than using this type of pad.
Question:	What is the difference between this porter cable 7346spr and the porter cable 7424xp
Answer:	The polishing action is very gentle and leaves no swirls or marks on my car's paint but I would talk to a granite sales person about this just to be safe.

Answer:	there are no instructions, however users of the product suggest, Using a non bleach non softening laundry product, with the washing machine on warm/warm, wash the pad. After washing, throw the pad in the drier on "no-heat" and tumble for an hour. If still damp, lay on flat surface (no sun) until dry (overnight works perfectly).

Answer:	It's a great sander. I've used it to put polish on my truck. Instructions doesn't recommend polishing with it but it does ok as long as you control it. I only used mine on wood finishing. I own 8 of them.

Answer:	This sander comes with a smooth pad for use with sticky sand paper. You can buy the hook and loop pad from Amazon also for about $21.00. This sander is one of the best on the market.

Answer:	The SP version includes both the sanding pad and the polisher pad, the XP includes only the polishing pad. The machine itself is the same. The only reference to a SPR version that I could find online was a reconditioned one and had the SP accessories. Price varies widely between the major retailers due to sale pricing. Best pricing has been in the USA.

Answer:	For what it comes with, a 6" pad. You could also install either a 5" backing plate or possibly a 3" plate as well and use the appropriate pads (3-5.5" pads respectively). I would not use anything outside that range for polishing paint. There MIGHT be carpet and upholstery brush attachments for this unit (which is what I use it for exclusively) that are 6.5". I'm not sure, but for paint, see above.

Answer:	There is no backing plate with this, I just received my 7424XP and had to pick the plate up from Home Depot before I could use it. The only thing included is a polishing pad.
Question:	How does this Pad connect to my Sander it has three screws that screw into sander this has I shaft that won't work
Answer:	Better is a matter of opinion, so, this is difficult to answer. Not entirely sure what you are trying to accomplish. Are you intending upon becoming a professional detailer? Are you intending to detail your car and friends/relatives, i.e. concerned amateur. How often do you want to use this? I detailed 3 cars and once detailed, I keep them cleaned and polished and sealed. I will never let my cars get to the situation where a polisher is needed. So, I don't intend to use it unless someone else wants their car detailed. I don't intend upon becoming a professional, if I did, I would get a Flex 3401 VRG direct drive DA which means a great combination of a DA and rotary but it is costs more than the 7424XP and the DWP849x together. (currently Flex is made in Germany but owned by a Chinese company). Both Porter-Cable and DeWalt are owned by Stanley, Black & Decker and both are made in Mexico. If country of origin matters, and since both are made in Mexico there is no difference. The DWP849x has soft start and the tigger is variable speed up to the speed you select, and you can lock the trigger into the full on position (where it will run at the speed you've selected). I've had the chance to use the DWP940x and for my application, I'd rather not spend $200 and 7"/9" is not required. If you want to use "normal" sized pads, you'll need to gat an additional backing plate, like a 5" or 6" Larger pads are available but leaves you with less choices and are typically more expensive. If you go with DWP849x, I'd recommend a smaller backing plate (I believe the "rating" of 7"/9" just means you can use larger backing plates and pads) with either a 5" or 6" backing plate (roughly $8-$20). You could damage your car if you use a smaller pad than the backing plate. A pad should always be larger than the backing plate, but obviously not too large a difference (like 3" backing plate with a 7" pad). The Porter Cable does not come with a backing plate, but I bought some pads and there was a special offer (from the place that I bought it) that the backing plate was "free" if you bought 3 pads. To me (and only me) the extra $80 for the DWP849x, I'd rather have the 7424XP and spend the money on pads/backing plates and products (polish, sealant/wax, decontaminates, clay bar, etc.); keeping in mind that you'd still have to buy those anyway. If you are a true beginner, the lower cost 7424XP would be a great starting point. The DWP849x weighs just over 3 lbs. and the 7424XP is nearly 6 lbs. But the weight of the 7424XP means that I used the weight of the polisher to apply the pressure instead of applying pressure by hand.

1.Add detergent to the warm water to wet the polishing disc. 2.Squeeze out the stain by repeated squeezing. 3.Rinse with fresh water. 4.Repeatedly squeezing to remove most of the water. 5.Dry the remaining water with the polishing machine. 6.The pad needs to dry completely
