Answer: Excellent tool. No splash guard. Splash guard would not work on this tool. Water comes through the arbor on to the disk. Water goes everywhere, even a cloud of water mist. Prepare to get wet. In the US you will need a different connector for the water hose.

Answer: no splash guard, even ones that have it are useless IMO, the water supply goes inside and exits in the center of the hub via several small holes. This is a great handheld polisher, I have used many others and Flex tools are top notch! Made in Germany.

Question: can you use a 10 pad
Answer: Yes that’s basically what I use is 10” polishing pad for aluminum and stainless steel. I use a 6000 rpm for cutting then use this one for final stage of polishing since it’s a lower rpm at 3500. I like this one for final stage as I can turn it down to 2000 rpm for a final mirror finish.
Question: will a 4 inch pad be compatible
Answer: Can, I use a 5 inch. I usually buy DeWalt products but this one I don't really recommend. I would go for the Makita. This polishe has a problem with 800 then to 600. It's very troublesome with product flying.

Question: I have this machine...what do i need to do to learn how to correct paint to a great finish
Answer: Go to the junk yard and buy several panels. Use the machine for about 200 hours. (No, I'm not kidding). THEN, you can use it on an actual car. Not saying that you can't use it before then without screwing something up bad, but don't come near my car with it! Seriously, watching Youtube and all is great but do not use this without some practice on things that won't matter if you screw up. Also, learn the difference between things you do with this that you can fix (like with a random orbital) and things you do that you can't fix.

Answer: Didn't look like that. Had steel shafts that fit in my drill. Sorry.
Question: Will this work to buff shoes after polishing
Answer: I just bought a 3” buffer sander and it does great on my shoes for the final buffing I run a soft cloth over shoes first to get the worse amount of polish off then buff them
Question: Will this work with windows
Answer: Yes, but I’d think you’d want something larger for that purpose. These are on the small side. I bought them to buff pens or bowls after I’ve turned them on the lathe.
