This 2 ton scissor jack meets or exceeds ANSI standards and has a heavy duty steel construction. Insert the jack handle into the hole of the handle socket. Make sure that the saddle is correctly positioned. To prevent damage to the jack, do not move the jack while the handle is intact in the socket. To raise load, use one hand to hold the front part of the handle, and use the other hand to turn slowly at the rear end of the handle clockwise. To lower load, use one hand to hold the front part of the handle, and use the other hand to turn slowly at the rear end of the handle counter clockwise.
- Lifting range is 5 inches to 13 inches
- Wide base (7.25 inches x 4.25 inches) for load stability
- Heavy duty steel construction
- Meets or exceeds ANSI standards
- Maximum capacity: 2 tons (4,000 pounds)
User questions & answers
Question: | Will this unit work with a standard hook-type foldable wrench |
Answer: | It won't work with capacitor start motors |
Question: | Specs state a minimum lifting start point of 5 inches. Is this the minimum height at which the jack attains enough leverage to begin lifting |
Answer: | Without a photo tachometer the exact speed of the router can not be determined. When the speed control rocker switch is set to the variable position and the controller knob is turned to the highest setting, the maximum rpm of the router motor is limited to approximately 80% of full speed. |
Question: | how to turn this |
Answer: | Pumps need muth power in the beginning of their operation, so be careful. Otherwise numbers of specifications seems alright. |
Question: | What is the fully collapsed height of the jack |
Answer: | Yes, I would say horsepower matters, but this is related to the amperage. I use this speed control on a router that is also 15 amps and it works great. I'm not sure why you would want to change the speed of a power miter saw, but this unit should work fine. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it a good jack for changing a flat tire |
Answer: | I don’t under stand your question. There isn’t a brake, stop or run setting on the controller. There are number and the faster you want the bi wheel to go the higher you turn the setting. |
Question: | How much does this jack weigh? Description says 0.2 oz |
Answer: | Este aparato es muy servisial y creo que si lo puedes usar en las pulidora rregula la belosidad |
Question: | By 'stubby' does that mean that it doesn't have as much travel as the non-stubby |
Answer: | As long as the power wheels motors are within its voltage range, yes. Just be careful not to feed them more voltage than they are rated for, or use a power supply whose voltage is matched to the spec of the motors |
Question: | How far is the travel of the hydraulic cylinder? I see min & max height but is min w/ screw down and max w/ screw up |
Answer: | Pwm stands for pulse width modulation. It's a way to take the available power from the battery and mange the power delivery to the device. Instead of the battery discharging at 100% rate, the power is being sent out in on/off pulses. This reduces the battery drain. The frequency of the pulses is selected by the user when turning the control knob. Some devices will work well with this (dc electric motors with this unit) and others may not. The benefits of this are: (1) Battery efficiency - This scheme is commonly used for motors powered by batteries to achieve significant improvements in battery life. I use mine (50 amp version) to run my older trolling motor. My batteries can last even double the amount of time by dialing back the knob so that I'm sending out a smaller percentage of the power than 100%. So, for example, if I chose to have the control set to 40% of max I would achieve a significant improvement in battery life. This also means that the motor would run slower. There is a trade off in performance, but it heavily favors battery efficiency. The way I use it, is with a voltage meter readout to observe it's performance. I've been able to deduce that the most efficient gear to use on my trolling motor is the fastest gear. Once I know that, I turn the dial to achieve the speed I want to go instead of achieving the same speed in a less efficient gear. I watch the battery meter to observe how fast the battery draw down is happening over time and choose a top speed that I'm willing to live with as a trade off of power versus battery life. Why this works is because batteries are most efficient when the discharge rate is the slowest. If I'm maxing the battery discharge rate, I'm reducing the battery run time. There is a sweet spot where the battery is happy and the speed is acceptable. (2) Infinite variable speed. This offers variable speed to a motor that only has one speed or several geared speeds. If you couldn't quite hit the right trolling speed in a fixed gear, you can nail the speed with this variable speed control. (3) Some units also have polarity reversal, which means that I can flip that switch and the motor will go in reverse. If a person fashioned a remote steering system for the trolling motor, the trolling motor tiller handle wouldn't have to be touched. It could operate remotely from another location in the boat. Some newer motors have this feature built in, so this device wouldn't have any benefit. A different application would be to have a 12 volt power supply and a 12 volt motor (old treadmills can sometimes have the motors). Hook up the 12 volt motor to a drill press, lathe, bandsaw, etc. and the device would now achieve variable speed. This is really useful for these tools. In the case of a bandsaw, a typical woodworking bandsaw witht the right blade can run slow enough to cut metal. The simpler way to have this effect for those tools would be to get an AC version of the pwm. This would still work, but would be more ideal for someone willing to retrofit the tool. It would be good for alternative energy users (solar, wind, battery banks). |

User questions & answers
Question: | where is this made |
Answer: | They have a #410 sprocket gear (1/2 inch pitch) with 8mm bore on aliexpress. |
Question: | Can a set 20 inch rim on the stand and paint the rim? Can the width of the stand be adjusted to ensure the rim remains in place while painting |
Answer: | Probably. Hard to determine without an optical tachometer. If you want to spin slower because you're using a wide router bit, it's better to be a little slower than faster to be safe, when you're setting speed "by ear"/ guessing at the speed. |
Question: | What is the width |
Answer: | even if it does, I doubt it will last. I Burt out 2 of them using just a router. |
Question: | Does anyone have measurements for the height range? One man's "comfortable height" is another man's "mid thigh |
Answer: | I would need to know the rpm of the bench top drill press. I use mine for approximately 30% speed reduction on a miter saw. |

Question: | Well this slide under my 2017 hd street glide |
Answer: | I'm not a geek or engineer. I used this for a project of mine(lure coursing). Based on my trial and errors , this is what I learned;12v battery, some bearing weight=decent power and torque is good! 18v= dramatic difference. Faster and higher torque. Line sliced through pvc like butter. Never did 24v but I'd say it would make a very good minibike motor! Maybe get up to 40mph ( wild guess) |

User questions & answers
Question: | ATD 574: what is the length of the shafts for the hex set |
Answer: | I assume you're joking! Obviously, the jack screw is not going to turn with the handle in the pictured position, but if it is rotated 180˙, it works fine, and that's how one would use it. |
Question: | what is the length of the shafts |
Answer: | I purchased 2 of these jacks. I found out that they are a cheap imitation of an excellent jack that I bought in 1971. The original was used to get under a very low riding sports car from England. The imitation jack is poorly made and does not collapse enough to qualify for a "low profile" jack. There are two chrome rivets that attach the black plate to the red arms. The 1971 jack had flat heads. The imitation has rounded heads. During collapse, the round heads bind with the red legs and stops the black plate at about 5 inches. I took a grinder and made the heads flat. It now goes to about 4 inches or less. The red base plate is too thin and does not stay flat. It bends and causes the jack to rock back and forth like a rocking chair. I do not consider the jack safe enough to use on my car. The black handle bar is not removable and limits how far you can push the jack under the car. Don't buy it. |
