I used a Reese hitch ball wrench (pn 74342 for sale on Amazon), and some large channel lock pliers. You only need a vice if the receiver is not installed. otherwise you can put the mount into the receiver sideways, put the wrench on the nut and carefully jump on the wrench a few times. once the wrench moved, I was able to use the channel lock pliers to hold the ball in place while I continued loosening the nut with the wrench. |
