Answer:	You do not need to lift the tires. The tire covers slip on and over the tire. The bottom of the tire is not covered. The reverse side of the tire is not covered. The reverse side of the tire is not being exposed to the sun, and therefore do not need to be covered. Once you have the cover on, you can fasten the cover on if you choose. We did not because the covers stayed on just fine.

Answer:	I didn't know that these covers were made to prevent rusting of the rotors. They may be an aid towards this end, but the cover is not made size wise to come anywhere near covering the inboard side of the rotor. Moisture in the air will naturally be attracted to metal surfaces no matter the fabric covering.
