Answer:	I have never tried cutting into bone, but I would say NO knowing how slow the blade rotates in comparison with my circular saw which would def cut bone (wouldn't advice though lol). Answer:	The cam style makes a tightner optional. The cam chain type I got from amazon came with the wrench to tighten the cam. I have not tried the chains yet. I knew if I got the chains it wouldn't snow again good luck
