Answer:	they should work fine. the base is the same as 1156, however they won't be as tall as the 1383 bulbs. so if you have a deep fixture, the light may shine more like a spot rather than a flood and astetically they might not look right.

Answer:	Well yes, because these bulbs operate off a 12v (battery) power source. Hopefully you have a battery charger as a part of your 12v system that operates from 110v (Shore Power). Normally your batteries charge from the alternator (engine running). When connected to shore power 110v, your batteries are maintained by the batt charger. Hope this helps.

Answer:	They are diode lights giving off little to no heat. They give off lots of light. Two lights in my boat cabin give off more light than the main cabin light

Supposing your vehicle is running and the alternator is putting out 14.2v 2=7.1v to each light, etc. if you were on a 24v system two lights would work fine. The other problem with series is, if one light goes bad the entire chain is broken/ out. *think old style xmas tree lights.
