How it works

Remove the orange handle from the Sidewinder and extend Sidewinder to the desired length. Answer:	Another poster said "when I see swivels, I think "leak". He's right. This hose looks like it would be a good one, but it does use non-adjustable swivels, and the swivels on ours leak. And there's no way to tighten the swivels so they won't leak. Ours even leaks at the attach coupling to the RV's plumbing connection, and, again, it's non-adjustable. You pays your money, and you takes your chances, apparently. I'm shopping for a new (and different) one - leaking sewer hoses in campgrounds are very bad form.

Answer:	This hose is made for use with the Waste Master CAM Lock system. The hose has a CAM lock male connector on the entry end while the RV has a permanently-mounted CAM lock receiver for connection to the hose. Waste Master makes a back-to-bayonet fitting which allows you to use this hose with the standard fittings on RVs or tote tanks.

Answer:	The discharge end is smooth hard plastic, measures 2-15/16" OD, nothing is flexible/rubber. There are also 3 sizes of threads, the first measures 3-1/2" OD, the 3rd is about 4-1/2" OD.

Answer:	You will have to put a lug end on the end of the hose. 39543 rv twist connection kit.
Question:	What is designation of gasket between 90 degree el and threaded adapter? Not the same as bayonet fittings
Answer:	The upper clear section that allows you to see the fluids being dumped is detachable so that the lower threaded section can be screwed into numerous sized threaded receivers. In the part that is shown above is a black gasket where the connection can be connected/disconnected so that you can start the lower section into the receiver then if needed is reconnected to either loosen or tighten the threaded base. You would not be able to loosen or tighten the threaded section if it had a bayonet because they rotate without restriction. I.E. you could not tighten or loosen the treaded insert to the receiver.

Answer:	Each hose will collapse to around 35 inches. But, they won't stay collapsed as some other hoses do. So, unless you are stuffing them into a pipe-like holder or some other type of container, they don't stay fully collapsed.

Question:	Do they sell replacement doors? The hinges snapped off
Answer:	Yes, the hinge broke off on mine as well. I found the replacement here, but given that this failed in 3 months, I haven't decided if I'm going to get another one. It looks like the new ones have been redesigned, and I'm hoping to find the new twist on caps vs. another flimsy door. Question:	Can you fit a fishing pole in it
Answer:	As long as the pole is less than 94 inches . It fits a sewer hose diameter so I would say it would.
Question:	How does this attach to underside of RV
Answer:	It bolts to the bumper. I have two. One on top of bumper the other below. I went to the local hardware store ( Lowe’s, Home Depot ) bought f bolts long enough to go through both.
Question:	Have the door hinges been improved. I had one of these before and both end hinges broke and I had to tape the ends shut
Answer:	I have the same issue - the door at the end of the tube has a latch on one side and two molded pins (hinges) on the other side of the door. After about a year's time one of the pins broke. I can still secure the door with one pin and the latch, but I am going to replace the tube so when the other pin does eventually break (I'm sure it will). I'm sure others have the same issue and I also would be interested to know if the design has been improved.

Answer:	Not sure why you need to know the circumference ??? But here it is... Big tube 15 1/4 inch, small tube 14 3/4 inch .

Answer:	I try to dry the hose, but yes it would leak, there is no seal at the joint or doors . Still better then corroding the steel bumper inside out .

Answer:	Make sure you take the end caps off before you stretch it out. The trapped air makes it hard to get it to full length. Amazon's return policy is usually just 30 days, I think.
