| Answer: | There is no expiration date stated and I see no reason the unopened filter wouldn't have a shelf life of a year or two. Once in use, though, Camco recommends replacement after 3 months. As full-timers, we use our filters a lot and I usually replace mine every 4 to 6 months. |

When using the HL-200 or this filter it is important to let the water run thru the system for at least 15 minutes so that the KDF has time to react with the sulfur in the water and reduce smell. |

| Answer: | I change it every season. Use it about 15-20 camping days a year. Might be overkill but it's not expensive enough to stretch it out. |

| Answer: | We bought this for the RV for drinking and whatever water. It is a regular hose so probably could be used anywhere a hose is used. Might be cheaper to buy one for the garden that doesn't have the potable water rating. |

| Answer: | Regular garden hoses contain lead in the PVC used to make the hose itself and the brass fitting also contains lead. Studies have been done that show a large amount of lead leaches from the hose into the water as it passes through. It is best to buy lead-free hoses for both your RV and your garden. | Answer: | I needed a thirty five foot 'water' hose, most all RV stores carry only 25' & 50', I ordered this same hose directly from Camco, when it arrived I thought because it was as strong and ridged as a normal heavy duty rubber hose, I hoped it would made of the same materials as the common white RV water hoses on the market, so I hooked it up with my water filter inline as my 25' white hose and another my brother loaned to me, I was pleasantly surprised, no adverse taste from the tap inside my trailer, I feel you won't be disappointed in Camco's 'blue' water hose, it will do the job you need it to do. One thing I am impressed with are the two ends, they are heavier than a standard yard hose and have spring steel around both ends for about four to five inches, if I ever need another hose, I will order one just like the one I got from Camco. |

| Answer: | Only for short periods of 3 to 4 days. However it held up fine to 40-60 psi pressure which is not surprising given the nylon-braid reinforced thick tubing used. I would think it be at least as good as those short extender hoses you can buy which are much thinner. HTH... |

Camco's TastePURE KDF Water Filter is a large capacity RV water filter that can last an entire season. It greatly reduces bad taste, odors, chlorine, and sediment in drinking water with a 20 micron sediment filter. The durable, in-line, exterior mount filter has a wide body to increase flow. The high-purity copper-zinc formulation known as Kinetic Degradation Fluxion (KDF) removes chemicals that give unpleasant odors or tastes to water such as hydrogen sulfide and chlorine using a basic chemical process known as redox (oxidation/reduction). KDF also prevents the growth of fungus, bacteria, and mold when the filter is not in use. The filter can be attached to any standard gardening or water hose to provide healthier drinking water and cleaner water overall. It is great for RVs, boats, campers, pets, gardening, washing cars, and much more.
