Answer:	I also have several fram HPG1 filters and tried a HPGC1 Cartridge in the housing. Their are very minor dimensional differences in the internal cartridge seals, I plan to use one when it's time to service. I don't expect any problems. Use your own discretion, their is no danger from trying as the housing seal is independent of the cartridge seals. I also use Wix # 33900R (my preferred replacement) it's identical to fram's but I believe filters to a smaller size particle.

Answer:	It should handle that fine, but double check for leaks when installing a new filter cartridge.....For some odd reason neither this knockoff or the fram hpg-1 original always include a soft copper washer for under the head of the bowl bolt.... if leaking is from under the bolt head add a copper washer if it still leaks use a nylon or lead washer instead. If its leaking from the bowl check the gasket for deep cuts, if it's in good shape apply a thin layer of oil and spin the bowl gently as it contacts the gasket finish by tightening the bowl bolt head .

Answer:	Quite? don't even think about it. it gets louder and noisier at night times. normally, an under 30 [db(A)] sound lever is a safe and acceptable lever, but this one will make about 36-38 [db(A)] sound lever in the night. especially in the bedroom (away about 18 feet from the bed), you will need a sleeping pill to put you to sleep. I had one, but after 2weeks, I can't bear with it anymore longer, had to return it.

Answer:	I've got it on a 55 gallon and it works fine! With turtles you want at least 3 times the filtration so 40 gallons of water needs a 160 gallon rated filter or stronger. Also it is recommended that you house your turtles separately as they are going to grow to be 8-12 inches long and are solitary in the wild! I recommend you join red ear slider turtle owners resto group on Facebook and they will have all the information on best diet best filters and best tanks for your turtles!
Question:	What do you have to replace for the filter media? And how often I don't believe what the company says about every month
Answer:	This is a very good filter, with "5" stages. The main foam padding, stage 1 and 2, can be rinsed out and reused about 3 times before it starts to get too worn. I rinse it in the water just pulled out of the tank to keep from killing the beneficial bacteria with tap water which contains chlorine. The soft portion of this foam pad does not hold up to even gentle squeezing out. I just rinse out the tiny filter pad, stage 3, at the top of the unit and have not replaced it yet. This thing is pretty durable and surprisingly expensive for what it is. Stage 4, the bio-media should not be replace unless they get damaged. Replacing the carbon media, stage 5, is a matter of choice. Many do not believe in it. I do. If you do use carbon media, remember it gets "full" rather quickly and should be replaced regularly, depending on the kind and amount of fish in your tank, it could last up to a month. Just think of the Brita filters. They are mainly carbon filters, and they make water taste yummy and free of junk. If you are really trying to save, you can buy loose activated carbon and make your own sachets with cheese cloth or those fill-your-own teabags. I've thought about doing that but have not tried it. I've been too lazy, and just purchased the carbon media bags, I believe they are about 8 bucks for 3. Hope that helps.

Answer:	The Fluval c2 power filter advertises that it has a ceramic heater core... unless its built in somewhere inside, its not visable period. so with that said, i still had my glass tube style heater and continue to use it with the power filter as i doubt that something i can not even see will heat the 20 gallon long tank enough for that fish i have.

Answer:	I came home and my filter was not running. I have had this for a month and it was running great. I cleaned out the filter, etc. and cannot get it to prime. Answer:	Yes. I use this for my CST in a 55 gallon tank. This is a great filter. Remember, it is more about the media you use than the filter alone. Experiment with media to see what works best for you. For my turtle, I have found that layering sponges in the bottom tray from coarse, medium to fine and then using Matrix bio media in the next 2 trays and then using carbon and an ammonia neutralizing carbon in the last two trays works wonders. It really keeps my turtle tank clean. This filter is easy to use, prime and clean. Plus it is very affordable. All canister filters are basically equal, the media is what really matters.

Answer:	As far as I know they do not require anything. My pool man did not say he needed anything for them, if he did he would of told me they fit my filter system great have had no problems it was a great purchase I will be ordering them again.

Answer:	Depends on how you care for the pool. I have had this pool for two years. The 3 filters I bought were to replace the 10 year old filters. If the filters get real dirty, a solution of water and muratic acid will really clean them. Be careful!

Will this work in a modular 3 system with the same sq dt filters

Answer:

Mine is a Modular 3 system. When I tried the new filters I purchased from Amazon, the short wide one did not fit the same as my old one. The tall one fit perfect but the other one would not fit properly over the month of the pvc piping on the side so it did not sit evenly in the modular and I could not fit the top back on so it could be sealed. I noticed a slight difference in height of the mouth piece opening so it doesn't fit down enough to seal up the unit. We used the tall one but returned the short one and used our older filter with the tall new one. I assume the manufacturer changed the product scale from the last time I purchased the filter from a store, 3 years ago. I haven't tried to purchase a new shorter filter as of yet. Its still working well for us along with the new one. Hope that helps. I did get a refund for the short one from Amazon.

Answer:	There's a small directional piece on the end of each nozzle you can turn to minimally direct the flow - but not nearly that much.

Answer:	Mine is laying on the bottom of my tank and i have never had it sitting upright. I can tell you it does pretty well sucking everything up. However, i usually have one spot in the tank, right underneath the filter where debris sits. When I need to water change I just make sure I get the debris out with a fish net. That seems to work pretty well. It is the best filter I have had so far (with a turtle that has killed 4 filters), just make sure to clean the motor fan with every water change or filter media change.
Question:	Does the U4 filter have space to add activated carbon pellets
Answer:	Yes it can, in the center of the filter there a removeable plastic cage. I put a small Chemi Pure bag in it. But I didn't care for this filter and not cause it didn't work. But I was wanting something more as a skimmer type filter and I wasn't getting enough flow out this filter unit. But it did work, if your running this on a smaller tank say no 30 gal freshwater ok. I was running it on a 29 gal reef tank with lots of live rock and it couldn't push enough water around it. But it did filter the water good.

Answer:	This filter for my S8M150 unit fit exactly. The only thing was the center inner filter that I bought.. The bottom feet to the smaller filer seem to be alittle shorter than stock. Answer:	I don't know what an OEM filter is. I bought this large filter and it's smaller partner for my Sta-Rite system 3 (globe-like) Modular media Filter on my pool. It's 25inches in diameter, is heavy and well-made, inner filter is actually heavy duty cloth. My last set was at least 6 or 7 yrs old, maybe older and still usable.
Question:	Is the red UV button on top of lid suppose to light up? Mine does not

Question:	Will this flood my floor when the power goes out
Answer:	Samantha - Good question. My best guess (wish I could say I'm 100% sure) is because it's a "closed" system; meaning that there is no where for the water to go I think all the water should stay where it should be. The inlet and outlet tubes are all secure and I can't think of why any of the water would leak out. Hope someone else will give a better answer. Hope I was able to help a little
Question:	UV light not working, have the top on correctly, the UV light doesn’t turn on nor does the switch appear to light up to indicate it’s on
Answer:	The lid will go on in either direction. You havve to look for the magnet on lid and the small piece of silver plating on base and match those up.
Question:	Does the 703B come with the media and uv light or do you have to order seperate
