| Answer: | Just weld it where you want it. High enough that it won’t drag, low enough to jack your trailer of the hitch. I actually cut 4 short pieces of angle shy enough there was about 1/4” gap at the corners. That way I could weld the top of the angle to the jack (horizontal), and run a vertical bead between the angles since the corners of the jack are the strongest and won’t tear out. Geez, I hope that makes sense. Mine has the potential of having a lot of weight on it at times. If yours doesn’t, just weld around it. Good luck |
