Answer:	I had a 2014 Jeep Cherokee with the V6 engine... the spring is part of the filter housing. If it popped out, it needs to be pressed back into its molded bracket inside the top of the filter housing. Its easy to click back into place.

Answer:	It will fit but I upgraded to the FRAM XG4967 Ultra Synthetic Spin-On Oil Filter and use Mobile1 synthetic oil. It's pricier but adds a lot more protection for the Generac especially in very cold or hot weather. I live in Michigan and the Generac cranks easily with quick start-ups in really cold temps. These machines start running @ 3600 RPM and this filter has a check valve to ensure lubrication available immediately.

Answer:	By good I'm not sure what you mean. If by good you mean does it fit, I don't know. You would have to cross reference the part number. If by good you mean are they quality, I have used this filter exclusively on my GSX-R for the last 10 year. At the moment I have 65K miles on it and she still runs like a top. The safety wire look is a feature that I particularly. If you use it there is zero chance the filter will walk off and hose your tires.
