| Answer: | 3.6 VVT GM engines. GM engineering recommends this re designed PF63”e” filter for their 3.6 because it has a higher flow rate and higher pressure by pass valve. Aftermarket filters don’t have the same spec. Sad because you’re limited to the AC Delco filter for this engine. I’m a Wix or Hastings guy. Those are excellent filters for just about everything else on wheels. The 3.6 VVT is an excellent engine, but it is oil flow and lubrication sensitive. Cam chains can be prone to failure due to lubrication issues. So Do not wait for the oil reminder light to come on. It’s wait between oil changes intervals is to long. The OLM minder light intervals are nothing but a dangerous sludge maker. The GM 3.6 is a 3k (5k with synthetic oil) changer! It is very important to use a Dexos certified oil and a PF63 “e”. There is also a PF 63, do not use. The PF 63 e is a redesign to remedy flow problems. Both filters will fit, but the “e” is totally different inside. It has a streamlined plastic cage to retain the filter media and a redesigned bypass valve. The other is and older style metal retainer and thick paper media with less flow |

| Answer: | You should buy a set of ramps, an oil drain pan, a cheap ratchet set and do your own oil to save huge over the year. Watch a YouTube video on how to change your specific cars oil. I don’t think jiffy lube lets you bring your own oil or filter but even if they do you will save big by doing it quickly on your own. |

Personally, I go up to 10K on the best syn. oils and using a premium filter, then do a complete lube service. If the oil says it's good for 10 -15K then it should be good for that, unless your engine isn't running perfectly. I would rather use the syn. oil for the max time and change filters more often.
