Answer:	I think it is likely a design mistake, not manufacturing defect. The obvious next question is whether or not the vibration will shorten the life of the mount, and I don't know the answer. I have had several weeks to drive it since the replacement, and the vibration is quite annoying at idle. If I was to do it again, I would have purchased Honda OEM from an online dealer such as Majestic or Bernardi instead. My last OEM rear mount lasted 5 years and 100k miles. Good luck.
