Answer:	There are no threads. It has approximately 3/4" mounting hole that you use 1 of 2 plastic bushings and then tighten 3 set screws to tighten. There is an enclosed chamber that is cool. This is a very nice and precisely machined piece.

Answer:	I installed mine on a 5 speed manual. If the shifter that the adapter is going on is longer than 1.5 inches, than it should fit no problem, with little to no modification. Hope this helps.
