| Answer: | That is exactly what I did on my 56 truck. I removed the floor mount piece so that the carpet that I was putting in would lay flat. I was able to mount this on the firewall in the groove so it fit perfectly. But I did have to swap it & put the pedal on the other side. Instead of the arm of the pedal being on the right hand side & installed it on the left side. Worked perfectly. But do take your time when trying to get it adjusted properly. I had to adjust it a few times until I got it in a comfortable place. |
