Answer: Not sure of the exact application you’re asking about. Perhaps this could help though. Removing the head is pretty easy, the speed control is all plug in wires and the ground has a screw. The speed control is even marked where the different color wires go. My personal application is a transom mount with the controls extended to be reached at my seating position (steering in now foot pedals). Side note: high speed on a Bonified SS127 was GPS at 4.3MPH. I kinda wish I had gotten the 55lb thrust, however battery life is really good on this one. Hope this helps.

Answer: Nuts n bolts with washers both flat and lock. Blots can be changed out for longer ones if needed. Great for terminal connectors, definitely not traditional car battery post connectors

Answer: This is a deep cycle battery, 100Ah (10-hr rating), and though I can't answer your question, I will suggest this: If you are truly interested in cranking amps then you should probably be looking at a different type of battery. Something like a marine dual starting/deep cycle battery (actually not a true deep cycle), or a starting battery. These will be listed by CA/CCA. Otherwise it is a fairly academic question and the reason CA/CCA are not commonly listed for a deep cycle battery. You would have to contact the seller or the manufacturer for this information. I checked and such a rating is not listed on the battery casing for this battery.
Question: For cycle use it is supposed to be at 14v? I thought float was 13.8v and max would be
Answer: I load tested this battery at 13.6 VDC charge and got 1,100 CCA which equates to 138 Ah using the 7.25 rule. There are several things to consider when evaluating the quality of a battery and so far I'm giving them an A+. The proof will be in how long they are able to exhibit this superior performance but I'm cautiously optimistic because the terminals are strong and well sealed and the plates must be very heavy due to the 60 pound weight.

Each hour that you plan on putting a full 2000 watt load on the batteries will require 166 amps; to preserve the longevity of your batteries, you should really only use about half of their rated capacity every cycle; so around 50 AH; so to run a load that large for ONE hour, you would need three of these batteries. Multiply three by X, where X is the number of hours you need to run the load for; that is the base number of these batteries you will need. You should also consider the cabling you will require to hook these batteries up, which for a load that large must be either 1/0 or 3/0 AWG. For such a large load, you would probably do better to buy some large 250 - 300+ amp hour flooded lead acid batteries in a quantity that would be appropriate.

Answer: You first need to look up the specifications of your generator. You should be able to find information on how many amps it will take to start the motor. Then you can find a battery that provides that amount of amps or more. What you are looking for is cold crank amps or CCA. If this thing will turn over a V8 I don’t see why it wouldn’t start your generator. But you should still check the amps to be sure.

My threaded bolt with wing nut sticks up 1” above battery top making MY total height about 9 1/4”. I’m sure if using their bolts, they will not be that high!! (What I did: Bought new SS bolts that were a little longer than what the batter comes with but same metric diameter and threads. Cut the head and some of the length of bolt off leaving remaining threaded pc long enough to go the full depth of threaded hole in battery plus about 3/4” more that will stick up above battery to put wing nuts on. Answer: This is a VERY GOOD AGM deep cycle battery. I would just make sure you have a PROPER trickle charger on it.

Answer: The further you discharge a battery each used the faster it will be destroyed it is never suggested to discharge an SLA battery Beyond 50%. 30% would give you much longer lifetime. Additionally most devices will shut down at 10.5 volts which is 50% discharge such as inverters so that they do not destroy the battery.

Answer: I have a similar 35AH battery and use this Group 27 box. Good fit.
Question: Does this come with a strap
Answer: The cover snaps on, no strap included. You get to customize that for your situation. It’s a great box.
Question: is it waterproof
Answer: I wouldn't say it is 100% waterproof. It doesn't have an inside gasket to seal it up. With that said, the top does latch in and you can pull the straps pretty tight. I think as long as you don't submerge it you should be fine.
Question: Need to know the width at the bottom. Only have 8" in bracket area
Answer: If you're looking at the Amazon page, it shows several diagrams of the box with dimensions. It clearly shows that it will fit your location. I also have 8" rails and my smaller group 24 battery (that I've upgraded) fits. Ignore the people who said it's 9" wide. That may suggest it won't fit. If you look at the product drawings, it clearly WILL fit. The overall case width is shown as 10", but that's the max width of the top. The bottom is shown as 7.4" and gradually slopes outward as you move up the case. It is designed to fit between 8" rails, which appears to be an RV/trailer standard.
