Answer:	This battery is better than the optima, but is a relatively close race honestly. I’ve run both and the optima worked well, but I was able to keep a slightly higher voltage when running full tilt with the D3400.

• Fully charged ACDelco Batteries (OCV is >12.5) should be stored in an upright position at temperatures between 32°F and 70°F. When a battery is stored, a very slow chemical reaction takes place between the plate materials and the electrolyte, causing a slow discharge. This reaction, called a self-discharge, occurs more rapidly at higher temperatures. Therefore, it is not recommended to store next to a furnace or other heat source. If an ACDelco Battery is completely discharged, the electrolyte will freeze when stored below 30°F. To prevent electrolyte freezing and battery damage, do not store ACDelco Batteries below 30°F if their OCV is less than 12.5 volts. Check battery every 2 months and maintain a voltage of 12.4 volts or higher

You need to use a microprocessor based smart charger that is capable of charging an AGM battery! Do not charge an AGM (absorbed glass mat) battery with a traditional SLI (starting lighting & ignition) lead acid battery charger. Answer:	I bought this battery because the previous response to fitting on a 2009 Prius. It does NOT fit in my 2009 Prius- it is 1.5 inches too long. I am hoping to return it.

Answer:	A Prius equipped with smart key entry sends out a radio signal looking for a remote key. When you approach your car with the remote on you the car senses it and allows you to open the doors and start the car with out a key. This is important for the battery because, unless you disable it, the car transponder runs constantly and you need a deep discharge battery. It is recommended that you disable smart key if you are parking longer than a couple days to avoid depleting the 12 volt battery. The disable switch is on the dash below the steering column. This is fully described in the owners manual.

Answer:	The operating temperature is -4F-140F. I would think that you would store it within that temperature range and be fine. There is nothing in the manual regarding storage locations

These are often single voltage 120 volts / 60 hertz (USA). You can buy travel versions with switchable voltage. You should not require a voltage converter. Answer:	I believe all of them would fit into a 1979 MG Midget. They're not that small.....

Answer:	Yes, mine came with the appropriate spacers for my particular form factor. I have a 2001 f-150 and I am sure glad it came with the spacers because I had to use one of them to get it to fit. I comes in a box with the spacer inside of it. So as far as the spacers go, Optima thought of everything! I am very pleased with the product!
Question:	does this battery come fully charged
Answer:	Mine came fully charged, my vehicle indicates 12.0V (engine not running) and ~13.8 to 14.0V (engine running). I keep this vehicle hooked up to a Deltran Battery Tender and it did not take too long for the Battery Tender to register Green (fully charged) once hooked up (~a few hours or so).
Question:	I see concerns about an Amazon warranty after 1 year yet the warranty noted in Amazon for the red top is clearly 36 months. What's the real deal
Answer:	It's 36 months through Optima. Unlike going back to the parts store what you have to do is file a claim with Amazon customer service. They do all the leg work from there. So here is the issue you have to decide if it's worth it or not. It can take a week between customer service contact, optima approves, new battery received. Can you make it a week without a battery??I have only seen one issue with an Optima battery back when I worked at a marine dealer. We sold a hundred or so a year (was there 2-1/2 years). Mine is only a couple months old, but I did accidentally kill it installing amps, subs, stereo, and it recharged and has no issues. Hope this helps.

Answer:	I bought a yellow top Optima battery from Amazon in Sept and it has failed already. Amazon is refunding my money and they told me that all optima batteries come with a 1 year, ONE YEAR warranty through amazon for what that's worth. Dealing with optima directly and buying the battery from Amazon is another nightmare I've been told here through the comments section.

SpiralCell Technology

At the heart of every OPTIMA battery is a series of individual spiral-wound cells comprised of two pure (99.99%) lead plates coated in a precise coating of lead oxide. One coated plate is positive and the other is negative.

The unique manufacturing process of spiral winding continuous lead plates is far more precision-controlled and expensive than building traditional flat plate AGM batteries. Custom automated cell-winding machines are required to maintain the close tolerances required to maintain quality and performance. RedTop

For normal engine starting where an alternator immediately monitors the state of charge and provides energy to the battery whenever it is needed.

YellowTop

Use this when electrical loads are higher than average, or when the discharge cycle is more than typical engine starting, such as vehicles with multiple electronic accessories and vehicles without alternators. This can also include vehicles with a lot of factory electronics such as power sliding doors and a DVD player. Examples also include: racing vehicles without a charging system, dedicated drag racers, diesel powered vehicles with aftermarket electronics, and vehicles with inverters, winches, or other accessories.

BlueTop

The BlueTop starting battery (dark gray case) is to be used when a dedicated starting battery is required and it should never be used for cycling duty. Use a BlueTop starting battery for marine applications and RVs when the battery's only function is engine starting.

The dual purpose BlueTop (light gray case) can be used for both starting and deep cycling -- it is a true deep cycle battery with extremely high cranking power. Uses include: trolling motors, marine applications with heavy electrical accessories, and RVs.
