Answer:	I found this on the NOCO faq page.... What types of batteries can Boost jump? All Boost models (except the GB500 Boost Max) can jump start 12V lead acid batteries only. This includes wet, gel, maintenance free, enhanced flooded battery, and absorbent glass mat batteries. The GB500 Boost Max is capable of jump starting 12V and 24V acid batteries.
Question:	Will it jumpstart an AGM Optima battery or any Deep Cycle Battery
Answer:	Yes it will start up any (vehicles) car battery. However (in error) when I received my order of the GB-40, I had only checked it; by turning it on and looking to see what the power display showed (as far as voltage lights). I should have charged it, even though it showed full charge; when I had to use it maybe a month later (as my battery in the car) had finally given up; the booster saved me but then showed low power had remained on the booster GB-40. The car's battery needed to be replaced the next day. The GB-40, saved me!

Question:	When you use the jump box to start a vehicle does the running vehicle in turn charge the jump box
Answer:	I've been using mine for almost 2 years and it still works great. I can get 6 or 8 jumps for a V8 engine without recharging the device- Quite impressive considering we used to have to have those huge spare batteries or jump from another car. Everybody should have at least one of these!
Question:	How does this unit fair on diesel engines, like 5.9/6.7 cummins / duramax or powerstroke engines, does it have enough juice to get em going
Answer:	I started my Ford F-350 6.8L V10 twice and it was still 75% charged. This was at 8500 feet temp about 10F. I love this little thing!
Question:	Jnc770r - can i store this unit in my vehicle laying on its back or side? will the battery leak when stored in these positions
Answer:	These products with the short cables are intended for direct connection to both terminals of the battery. This is NOT a recommended practice when jump starting with booster cables between vehicles, because the high current potential could cause sparking (when connecting) which could ignite battery gases. That's where you need the good (away from battery) ground spot to make the last connection safely. These products however don't present that hazard when connecting.
Question:	Does this unit need an extension cord to charge
Answer:	The battery doesn't retain the charge too good, if unused. And the reporting on the LCD is misleading: After a full charge and months of non-use, it still indicated 91%. When I connected the jumper cable to begin to jumpstart the car, it suddenly dropped to 68% ! And that was NOT sufficient to jumpstart a size 24F battery (4.3L gas engine, if that makes any difference), even though the green LED light was flashing (then turned solid) to indicate the battery charge was ok to jumpstart. I charged it for a few hours to get back to 100%, and then the jumpstart worked. So, always check real battery charge level with jumper cable plugged in.

Answer:	i have had no problems leaving in a glass box - car with windows all the way up. think it may drain the internal battery a touch but nothing serious. instead of having 5 day charge, you may have 4 days 22 hours or so
Question:	Has anyone used this product to jumpstart a full-size SUV with success
Answer:	I dont have this one, but I do have the last version, and after taking mine apart, here is what I can say. While there are lights on the front that tell you when the battery is full, I have found not proof or evidence of any float in it to keep it from over charging. My opinion, while it should not hurt much to leave it is for a short period of time after it is fully charged, I would keep somewhat in mind to make sure that it is not left charging for extended lengths of time. Doing so can damage the battery in it. If you do damage the battery in it, replacement batteries can be bought and installed for around half the price of one of these. I just replaced the battery in mine, and for mine, I found some cheap, made in china ones for about $30. I found one that was made in the USA for just a few dollars more. All that there is to replacing the battery is to take the screws out that hold the front and back together, which should be around 8 screws, the two pieces should come apart, and the battery should be right there. The battery will be attached to the wires by a nut and bolt on each terminal. That is it. and just in case you are wondering, the battery in mine was a 19ah, 12v battery.. but the 18ah ones are easier to find. The size of mine is about 6.5" x 7" x 3", or something like that. and mine is the same overall type/design/rating as this one. Just without the USB ports. but you would have to verify that they still use the same battery if you do choose to replace yours in the future.Also, as to the charging thing. Some people say to charge it once a month. Personally, i feel that is a bit much. I say to charge it when it is getting a bit low. Why do I say this.. because these types of batteries do not really loose much power over time, if not being used. Even the manufacturers of the batteries for these say that you only need to top the battery off, once every 6 to 12 months, if the battery is just sitting on the shelf. So I see no reason why, if you are not using the jumper at all, why you would need to charge it every month. If the battery is at, say 90%, then it is still fine to leave alone (unless you know you are going to need it very soon, and quite a few times at that), but if it gets to maybe 75%, I say charge it to top it off. Dont forget, since the batteries in these are the same type as what is in a car, you just don't want to let it get too low. If you do let it get too low, that can ruin the battery, just like how it will in a car.
Question:	What is the starting current for this device
Answer:	For a battery of this size, I'd not go over 240 watt inverter. Actually, you can use any inverter (I got a 400 watt unit that came with a lighter plug as well as other wires), but I'd not connect up a load greater than that ~240 watts. I have at least 2 reasons. First, the lighter outlet that you'll likely want to use is for sure intended for under 20 amps (and maybe fused for only 10 amps). Answer:	I believe so. I've seen a technician myself before did it in my car while he was replacing a new battery on my car. I told the technician i want to keep the setting i did in my car; Radio channels, AC, panel instrument and it works.
