Answer:	Not sure this answers your question but I can tell you from experience that this stuff really works. I used it on my aluminum engine top side and it's been 2yrs and my engine paint still look new to date.

Answer:	I wetsanded the clear gloss over this and it all came right off, sanded down to my fricken primer with 2000 grit. I couldnt believe it. I have to repaint the whole thing now kinda blows....

Question:	Do you have to primer, first
Answer:	You should and it will run less and cure better, but you don't absolutely have to. If you skip primer, you have to degrease and clean the entire wheel in soap and water, then wet sand the entire surface to get through the clear coat or acrylic barrier in the paint layer, 800-2000 grit until the entire rim looks hazy when you wipe it dry. Then clean it with isopropyl alcohol, and use air to blow any remaining fibers or debris away from the wheel. All your coats must be 5-30 minutes apart, not sooner, not longer. First two coats, just lightly dust it, don't worry about coverage. Next coat should be a light overall coat that is not wet and glossy (pull it back!). Once that tacks up a bit, then you can apply a medium wet coat, by repeating the light coat you did over and over until it STARTS to look wet and glossy. Don't keep going over a spot that already does. Let it cure untouched for 7 days. Your paint will be good.

Answer:	Not if you want a bird to live there, in my opinion. Birds tend to use their beaks to maneuver in cages, even if they aren't clipped. Any paint will be ingested by their strong beaks when they do so. Your best bet is to talk to a veterinarian or a pet store and find out which are safe. Normally beyond paint choice, the cage goes through a heating process which makes it safe for birds. I have no idea where to go to get that done though, another question for your local veterinarian or pet store. Hopefully this is helpful.

Answer:	This will work fine Diane. I once said that you can paint over dirt and get a nice finish with this material and it's true. Your trick is going to be using two coats as the first covers and the xecond gives the 'hammered look. Make sure the first coat is dry before adding the second and you need no luck at all; just about 40 minutes.Very Best.

Answer:	I don't know what an intermediary coat is, as well as etching primer. I used it as a primary coat on all the exterior plastic (BUMPERS, etc) after wash and clean, 3 coats. Then I applied Rust-Oleum 248656 Professional Grade Rubberized Undercoating Spray, Black 3 coats and finally, Rust-Oleum Black, Matte BlackRust-Oleum Automotive 251574 Trim and Bumper Spray 3 coats. All my bumpers were restored to a beautiful practically new look in black. They were previously gray and sun bleached.

Answer:	Yes, but it is fairly thin and designed for a hard finish like metal or fiberglass. A thicker primer designed for wood would work better.

Answer:	Great question. It is best to lightly sand and clean the surface and then apply 2 or 3 light coats of paint.

Answer:	We sprayed it onto a paper plate, then used a tiny paint brush to paint it on our very small scratch, and it looks much better. The color match for our LG black stainless fridge is very good.

Answer:	Since matching an automotive paint can be very disappointing, I would suggest that you first try some on a piece of metal, allow it to dry and then hold it near the paint of the car to see if the color and type of paint matches well enough to satisfy you.There are some companies, such as DupliColor, which offer exact match auto paints at many automotive parts stores. If the scratch does not go all the way through the existing paint, you might try the "Clear Coat" scratch repair kits which renews the clear coat finish and in many cases makes the scratch almost invisible.

Answer:	Absolutely! When I was researching this product, I saw people using it for mailboxes, house letters, outdoor lights, etc. In fact, we painted our house numbers with it months ago and they look great. I think you'll love this product BUT . . . don't buy it with this nozzle!!!! The nozzle does not work very well. You would like this product more if you buy it in a can with the regular nozzle, then buy one of Rustoleum's clip-on nozzles to use it with. MUCH better operating and way less wasteful. Trust me on this one! I wasted nearly a whole can of paint with this stupid nozzle. It sputtered all over the place. Lots of reviewers warned me, but I didn't listen and sure enough they were right. The paint itself is great, though.

Question:	What's the difference between oil rubbed bronze and metallic dark bronze if any, i'm looking for the one that looks less black
Answer:	I have to be honest, metallic is my favorite. But I use gray, white, black, and yellow too. My house is yellow, white and gray and black trim. I like wrought iron, so if I want something to match that I use a shiny black. If I want a dark metallic I use an antique version. It usually is darker with the metallic paint than the shiny metallics. I also sometimes use more than one color to get the look I want.

Answer:	I would use this Rust-Oleum Bright Coat Metallic silver on the feet of your tub.. This is really nice and shiny. I am very pleased with the look. It's quality spray paint...5stars
Question:	Can this spray work on a chrome car bumper
Answer:	There is a line in the instructions on the can that says "bright coat paints are not recommended for outdoor use'. Too bad you have to buy the can to be able to read that. It should be stated in the online description.
Question:	When sprayed on plastic, does it stay sticky
Answer:	Buy a can of Rust-Oleum American Accents Ultra Cover 2X Semi-Gloss Black Spray Paint and Primer in 1, 12 oz at WalMart for under 4 bucks. It's specifically made for plastics. Drys and doesn't leave fingerprints. Then after 2 coats (give each coat about 1 hour to dry), then you can use the 2x metallic paints which are also under 4 bucks for 12 oz. cans. If they don't have a metal color you want, like copper, you can still use it on the 2x gloss black used as a primer, and barrier from the plastic. It'll bond to the paint instead and come out brilliant after 3 to 4 coats. Yes, I realize this is a 2.5 year old post, but I thought it'd be helpful to those who are shopping now to know how to use this paint properly. :)

Question:	How does this paint do on outside metal Railing... Does it do well on wet weather and will i need to prime it before i apply the gloss black
Answer:	I live in Oregon and it’s done well on my iron gate. To prep it I used a wire brush to mainly loosen any chips. I didn’t prime first.
Question:	Can I use this for a airsoft gun
Answer:	You can if you want to, but this paint is for metal. So if your airsoft gun is plastic, then I'd suggest you use a paint for plastic, like Krylon Plastic paint.
Question:	Do I need to apply primer before use this coating
Answer:	Most Paint will adhere better with Primer, I would say no, it's not Something you Have to do, but if you want the paint to stick and hold at its best. I would prime the surface first.
Question:	How many of these do I need for four rims
Answer:	It depends if your painting bike rims or car rims also how many coats you wanna put on. But most likely two cans.
