Answer:	It won’t damage an RV potable water pump so I see no reason it would harm your fountain pump. I just would not let pets or animals drink it even though it’s safe for our RV system.

Question:	Do I need any special ear muffs?The one I have only has one hose attachment
Answer:	We used the type that feeds water to both sides and found that holding them together with a bunggie cord/strap wrapped around them to keep them tight to the leg worked best. P.S. It took a long time for the thermostat to open allowing a full flow of water. We kept feeling the water temp to make sure that the thermostat was open. We then turned the water valve off and the RV antifreeze valve open. When there was about 1/8th to 1/4 0f the antifreeze left we fogged the engine until it stalled out. Question:	I bought the boat winterizing kit. The tank has a hole in it. Can I buy just the tank
Answer:	Goop is good for sealing flexible things like that. A fresh tube thats not too thick is easier than old one.
Question:	How long is the clear plastic hose that is included in the kit
Answer:	The clear plastic hose (with water hose fittings) on the kit I purchased is 8 feet 3 inches long. Hope that helps.
Question:	Do I still have to remove and replace the drain plugs in my Mercruiser 350 MPI prior to flushing for winterization or does this eliminate that step
Answer:	If you follow instructions closely, you shouldn't have to remove drain plugs. You are supposed to run on muffs until the engine is up to temp and the T-Stat is opened up, then turn on the pink stuff and let it flow through COMPLETELY. I go past the point of just seeing antifreeze come out the exhaust, I dump the whole tank in since I will have to toss it anyway. If you don't do these steps completely, you could leave pockets of water in the system that freeze. Draining first would be added insurance against making a costly mistake. I prefer this method over draining alone because it's going to catch things gravity doesn't and residual water will at least mix with AF if it doesn't get completely blown out.

Answer:	This is rated for down to -50 degrees Fahrenheit. The coldest ever recorded in Maine was -48 in 1925. You should be fine.

Answer:	This is supposed to be non toxic and potable, however I would still flush it back out of the system before you use it again.

Answer:	Just checked out in the garage and the label only mentioned propylene glycol. They suggest a several minute flush when removing from system. At that rate residue would be very tiny. The product worked for the process of protecting a cast iron pump last winter with great success. Will be protecting a couple of pumps this winter.

Answer:	It is water soluble. It has not damaged our system. We use about 2 gallons, full strength, to winterize our cabin. We have a 500 gallon septic tank. We have been doing this for 8 years.
Question:	how much antifreeze is needed to protect 50 gallons of water to temperature of -20 degrees
Answer:	16 ounces of antifreeze and 16 ounces of water protects to -50 below. At 50 below the mix may turn to slush but it will not freeze. If it is left over the summer the water may evaporate if it is not in an air tight system. Buy a gauge at the auto supply and adjust ratio accordingly or have someone due the math.
Question:	Is it safe to flush into my home septic tank
Answer:	I believe you can as this antifreeze is non toxic. However I have only used this antifreeze in my Aqua Hot system in my current motorhome. Generally, most RV's do not require much over a gallon to winterize so this would be a very small amount considering the size of most septic tanks and drain fields. Again, I purchased this for use in my hydronic boiler system and I am assuming the propylene glycol used in this is the same as used in other RV antifreeze on the market.
Question:	What flavor is this ? The last one I bought tasted awful
Answer:	It may seem like the OP is kidding around, but I doubt it. The reason being that most RV antifreeze is actually minty and leaved a god awful taste in your water supply for next season. If this stuff is just propylene glycol then it should simply be sweet with no other smell or taste. I don't own this stuff though so I don't know if it is tasteless. It SHOULD be since there is no alcohol in this mix.

Answer:	It depends. You use 1 oz per 5 gallons to store gas and 1 oz to 10 gallons in your gas tank to reduce ethanol and keep your fuel system clean.
