Answer:	Techron has a web site and a contact number to call. Unless someone has opened up the engine block and tested how this additive performs, they are just guessing. Granted, Techron may just be trying to sell you something that you do not need, or need every 3,000 miles.
Question:	it's a real pain to open Techron bottle's seal. do you guys have any tips on opening it easily
Answer:	Don't try to peel it off. Just pierce it through the center (not at the edge) with a sharp pointed blade, like one on a little Swiss Army keychain knife. Leave the slit alone and don't try to peel any of the seal off. If you just pierce it in the center and don't try to pull off or peel any pieces it will remain intact and tightly adhere to the bottle neck and thus continue to provide an effective seal when you close the cap.
Question:	I found an old unopened bottle of the original concentrate, not the Plus. Probably 10 years old. Is it still OK to use
Answer:	Yes, its fine to use. The ingredients don't go bad for maybe 20 plus years or more

Answer:	I would not recommend this for diesel engines, and would definitely not use it for an LPG-fueled engine.

Answer:	20 year auto tech. No. The O2 sensors are designed to detect changes in fuel. Specificly the air/fuel ratio. They are not as fragile as most people think. They in no way could be damaged by using this product. This is actually the only thing I use and can highly recommend when it comes to fuel additives.
Question:	Is this product better than the much cheaper STP fuel cleaner
Answer:	I'll tell you this the difference being only a few dollars considering this product is in the $10 range I wouldn't bother trying anything else. I'll admit I've never tried any other product, but 2,200 mile after the first use I still see a node improvement in the fuel economy and have the smooth acceleration. Answer:	Dump it in the fuel tank and fill it up with gas. This large can will treat up to 20 Gallons. I use it in my motorcycle, so I just put a small amount in. It also has a fuel stabilizer in it which is good cause I don't ride the bike that often.

Answer:	If you have problems with injectors I would use two cans. I would suggest if that does not work get the injectors clean. Check out Scotty Kilmer on you tube or on google he has a professional way to clean injectors. Honda has the most problems after about 130,000 miles and should be clean. I know because I own several.

Question:	Will this work on a riding mower
Answer:	Sure. Any four stroke gasoline engine. All engines develop a gummy, shelack build-up after long use. If you are having a problem with the mower fuel system I’m wondering if that’s the real problem. Takes A lot of gas to gum-up a carb but it could be though. It will take quite a few running hours to flush an entire can through the fuel system at the recommmeded rate. Would be worth a shot. Good luck. (Only add to the fuel!!! Never to the oil!!!)
Question:	Is this better than spraying carb cleaner directly into a lawnmower carb
Answer:	Never thought of putting it in a lawn mower. This is an entirely different process than spraying. Adding this to the gas produces a continual cleaning process of removing gums and schlacs in the ports, channels, etc. Spraying is a topical treatment that provides limited cleaning only when you spray. If I was going to use it in the lawnmower I’d put a couple tablespoons in the tank each time I filled it until the can was empty. Interesting idea. Worth a try I suppose! 4 cycle only!!!!

Answer:	Yes,Add entire bottle to nearly empty gasoline tank at time of oil change. Refill tank with 18 to 35 gallons of gasoline. Do not refill tank until near empty. Repeat every 3,000 miles at time of oil change. For small engines, add to gasoline using 3/4 to 1 ounce per gallon of fuel. For small 2-cycles engines, add 2-cycle oil as recommended by the engine manufacturer.
Question:	Can this be used in a turbo engine, as far as in the oil
Answer:	Not sure what people are saying not to use this or any treatment in the oil. It's a petroleum-based product, of course it can be used in the oil. Even states that on the bottle. I wouldn't use it all the time in the oil, but adding something like Seafoam etc to the oil at the end of the oil cycle, about every 25-30k miles (3rd or 4th oil change) has been shown countless times to clean out the gunk in the system that can cause bad flow and blockages and free up sticky valves and lifters that even a fresh oil change with the best oil cannot do. This product is mainly formulated for fuel systems though so that is its key advantages. If you want a good oil additive, use Seafoam. Stuff works wonders in the oil, esp on older, less maintained engines. With a turbocharged engine, you definitely want to add an oil additive every 25-30k miles more so than an NA engine. This is because the oil passages feeding the turbo are a lot smaller and more susceptible to blockages and flow restrictors than the rest of the common components inside the engine itself.

Answer:	I use this on every fill up because it lubricates the upper cylinder which increases my gas mileage by about 9%. So it definitely pays for itself. Tho I buy it a gallon at a time and use the smaller bottle to pour into my gas tank. Also, I only put about 7 or 8oz in a 20 gallon tank. Too much of this stuff actually lowers gas mileage. I know from personal experience. If you're looking for a one-per-year cleaner, you really need to look at Techron. This Lucas Oil fuel treatment isn't a strong enough cleaner to use only once per year. I use Techron every other oil change to keep injectors and whatnot clean, but use this Lucas Oil treatment for MPG gains only (from lubricant affects).

Answer:	Different stuff in them, but both are suppose to lube the upper cylinder real deep like..

Answer:	I've used both of these products to clean my engine internals, fuel system etc. I have an Infiniti G35 with a 3.5 V6. I can't really speak to the difference between the two products in detail other than reading and researching the ingredients and purposes of each. However, I used to have really bad pinging due to carbon buildup and tried Seafoam and Lucas deep clean... But I found that they relieved symptoms only temporarily. Now I exclusively use Gumout Multi System Tuneup as it works much better than Seafoam and Lucas. It has a higher concentration of P.E.A. which is scientifically proven to clean engine internals and fuel system components. I would also give high marks to Redline SL1 and BG 44K but they are more expensive. Watch reviews/tests of Gumout MST on YouTube via Scotty Kilmer and several others... Best of luck to you...

Answer:	I think it cleans up to 25 gallons. I use it once a month and wont use anything else. but i also drive about 1000 miles a month. Just dont over use it or it will cause some problems. Keeps your fuel system and intake clean.
Question:	Just purchased and need to put into my car. I have a half a tank of gas in the car. Does this need to be put it when tank is near empty only
Answer:	No, you do not have to wait until nearly empty to use the product. Per the instructions, one container treats up to 20 gallons. Obviously, more will be required for more than 20 gallons. Pour the container(s) into the fuel tank, top off with fuel, and go. The product is highly concentrated and really works great. I recommend using one bottle every 3 - 5000 months miles. I believe in this product wholeheartedly. Hope this helps.

Answer:	NO, this is not the product for that. You need the Lucas Oil Safeguard ethanol fuel treatment.

Answer:	I drive (and now use this in) a 1996 Toyota 4Runner. Prior to its use I'd averaged 17mpg, then performed a replacement on plugs, wires, and air filter (upgrading to a K&N); in addition to cleaning the MAF and throttle body (all on my own, mind you!). I now average anywhere between 19.5 (city) and just under 25 (highway). I'm not sure just how much of a fuel increase can be contributed to this product, but I no longer go without it!

Answer:	No it shouldn't cause any problems. I have used a full bottle in an 11 gal. tank. After doing a bit of research on bobistheoilguy I decided all I really needed was to use a quality top tier fuel instead of wasting money on add in injector cleaners.

Answer:	Sometimes when you run out of gas there is dirt and junk on the bottom of the fuel tank and that would get sucked up into your fuel filter and partially clog it. You may want to look into changing your fuel filter first. This product will not hurt to use it anytime but it won't unclog your fuel filter.

Answer:	Hi George. I use this product at every 5k mile oil change. I have a 2008 Prius with 160k miles. The pistons tend to carbon up which causes an engine knock under load because carbon buildup increases the compression ratio. The Regain fuel additive seems to help. I recently did a top engine clean using the GM "AC Delco Top Engine Cleaner" and a modified cleaning procedure. The piston tops were 100% cleaned of carbon deposits and the engine knock under load was gone.

Answer:	This is also why it is a good idea to follow this treatment with the fuel system cleaner so the injector cleaner is flushed from the fuel system.

Answer:	So many factors really matter. For instance if you live in a cold place and deal with stop and go, you will most likely have more carbon build up. Also if you only do short trips. I would usually add one bottle ever 3000 miles or every oil change for my Rav4 at 5000 miles.
