Lucas High Performance Motorcycle Oils are the result of technology gained through years of blending motor oils and gear oils for the racing industry. These are TRUE racing oils that FAR exceed all manufacturer specifications and can outlast other oils up to 4 times on the track or on the street. Lucas Motorcycle Oils are built for endurance. These oils will lower oil temperatures, extend the life of vital components, reduce noise and leaks and increase performance.
Motor oil is made from crude oil and is used to lubricate, clean, and cool engines. Types of motor oil include conventional, synthetic, diesel, bio-based, hybrid (blends of conventional and synthetic), and recycled oils. Motor oil varies in weight and viscosity, as well as additives that some manufacturers add to the oil during the refining process. A numerical code system created by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) grades motor oils according to viscosity--the higher the number between 0 and 60, the more viscous (thicker) the oil is. Most consumer motor oils are graded by two numbers, with the first number indicating cold weather (Winter or "W") performance.
SAE 20W-50
This oil has a weight of SAE 20W-50, meaning it has an SAE viscosity rating of 20 in cold temperatures and a rating of 50 at normal operating temperature. Always check your vehicle's owner's manual to verify that this is the correct weight of motor oil for your vehicle.
Full Synthetic Oil
This oil is a full synthetic oil, meaning crude oil is not used in making it. Synthetic oil can be used in vehicle engines instead of motor oils refined from crude oil, and often provides superior mechanical performance over traditional motor oil, including increased gas mileage and reduced engine wear at extreme temperatures. Its complex method of production means it can often cost more than conventional motor oil.

Question: | How often would I have to change the oil in a Dodge 3500 diesel |
Answer: | Don't mix it with water . Just add entire bottle to the radiator or coolant tank , preferably the radiator and ONLY when engine is cool . It is only 1 ounce of fluid so it will not overflow radiator . Then run engine like normal and check periodically for fluid leaking . You will notice the dye because it is teen age mutant ninja turtle primordial ooze flourescent green, even without a uv or black light , but ONLY once it mixes with the coolant in the engine. When you open the bottle it does NOT look green or fluorescent at all . |

User questions & answers
Question: | Why is this label red, when it's the same part number as the blue label |
Answer: | Look in your owners manual and it will tell you what viscosity oil you should use. Probably won't be 20W50. But yes you can use Lucas oil in your car. |
Question: | Would this be ok to use on atv/utv 4 wheeler |
Answer: | It is fully synthetic. How often you change it is up to you. |
Question: | Has anybody put this in a Kawasaki supercharged 310 jet ski |
Answer: | Yes meets or exceeds harley. I use it in my 2015 road king and 81 shovelhead. However I do not nor do I recommend it for wet clutches as it has friction modifiers and is to slick and thus the clutch may slip |
Question: | Any issues with clutch slip? i want to run this in a 2006 suzuki dr-z400sm |
Answer: | The motorcycle 10702 does not have friction modifiers so you can run it in Wet clutches. Me I prefer the more slippery 10054 for my motor and use 10702 or another brand motorcycle 20/50 in my primary. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this work in newer 6 speed Harley Davidson transmissions |
Answer: | I used it in my 2011 FXDC at it really smoothed out the tranny (6 speed) in my opinion. FYI: I used Lucas 20w50 synthetic motorcycle in my chaincase and Lucas regular 20w50 synthetic (non-motorcycle) in the engine. I noticed an improvement all around almost immediately. Engine runs smoother, shifts better, and although I do not have a temp gauge on my bike I definitely feel like it runs cooler. If you have a Harley with 3 holes I'd definitely recommend using the non-motorcycle synthetic version for the engine as it has additional friction modifiers that makes it more 'slippery'. You just don't want to run a lubricant with additional friction modifiers where your clutch is. If you live in a hotter climate you may want to consider the 75W140 synthetic but I'm in Ohio so the 75W90 is perfect for me. |
Question: | I have a G80 locker differential in my 99 silverado and not limited slip. Is this the correct stuff |
Answer: | yes, for use with or without limited slip |
Question: | I have a 1980 350 chevy dump truck.. can I use this fro gear oil |
Answer: | Yes you can, it is a synthetic gear oil and also designed for limited slip gearing. |
Question: | does this have the friction modifier already in it for limited slip rears |
Answer: | No, if your differential calls for the additive, you have to add some anyways. This is the case with dodge differentials 8.25" and 9.25" in the rears with limited slip. The OEM manual should say to add it if its limited slip or has trak-lok. Excerpt from manual "Trac-lok™ equipped axles require a friction modifier be added to the lubricant." |
