User questions & answers

Question: How much of the gallon do you use in a 15 quart Diesel engine when you change the oil and filter
Answer: 4 quarts in a gallon.. You are using 15 quarts which is about 3.75 gal. of diesel oil. On the bottle it says put in 20% or 1 qt stabilizer for 4 quarts of motor oil (total = 5 quarts).. So, about 4 quarts stabilizer or 1 gal. for your big diesel sir.. I'd substitute a gal. of stabilizer for 1 gal of diesel oil.. Remember to substitute the gal (2.75 gal. of diesel oil) and add one gal. of stabilizer = 3.75gal.
Question: how much do I put in at my next oil change? I have a toyota 4runner 5quarts. Thanks
Answer: 1Quart...Remember, it's 20% of your engine oil capacity....
Question: This product can be used in diesel engines
Answer: Yes this product can be used for Diesel engines . It can used for either motor oil or transmission oil
Question: Is this for a 1 Gallon Bottle OR 4 Quart sized Bottles? Description says 4 per case
Answer: I am not finding where it says "4 per case" but the image is the 1 gallon and I order 1 and received a single 1 gallon container.

User questions & answers

Question: I have a 4.3 liter volvo penta i/o boat engine that has a small leak. i use 20w-40 oil. can i use this in a boat engine runs up to 4500 rpms
Answer: you of course can use it, but will it fix your leak no, it will slow it down but will not stop it. lucas oil products are nothing more than super thick oil kinda of like pouring very thick gear oil into your engine. you are using a very thin oil, i would think because of high rpms & heat your oil needs to move fast & freely to keep all parts lubed. talk to a penta dealer but i'm guessing they will tell to fix the leak correctly with a new gasket or replacement part to cure the leak
Question: Can i use both this and the lucas oil stabilizer at the same time
Answer: I pulled this info from the vendor.Use Lucas Oil Stabilizer in gear oil to stop leaks, reduce operating temperatures and increase the life of the gear oil. Since it is pure petroleum, it can safely blend with all other automotive lubricants, even synthetics, ATF and mineral oil. It keeps old engines alive and new engines new.
Question: questions: Does this need to be added every oil change like other products? Is it really thick like Motor Honey? Thanks
Answer: No, you don't need to replace it on every oil change. This additive mixes with your motor oil and coats the inside of the engine as well as the seals (where usually the leaks comes from). As I've mentioned before don't overfill this two mixture (your motor oil & Lucas Stop Leak) beyond your engine's capacity. Once you've drained your old oil and replaced the drain plug & new oil filter on your vehicle carefully add the Stop Leak then the additional motor oil, checking on the dip stick every now and then while adding them, so as not you won't overfill the engine.'Motor Honey', I haven't come across this product. Is this just a figure of speech?
Question: how do I use lucas oil stop leak
Answer: When you change your oil put the stop leak Quart in in place of 1 of the Quarts of oil, then drive regular till next oil change.Unless your leak is extreme Lucas will stop the leak. I've used all the Lucas products for years in my cars and my 18 wheeler before i retired. Now i still use it in my personal vehicles. Love that Lucas!

User questions & answers

Question: How many quarts does this treat
Answer: I used two bottles when breaking in a marine engine with 8 qts capacity.
Question: What are the zinc and phosphorus concentration rates? Are there any dilution charts
Answer: Lucas Product# 10063 is a zinc additive for engine oil. Its designed for engines with no catalytic converter in the exhaust (pre-1977 cars/trucks) and race engines. This product is also used as an engine "break-in" additive for newly built engines. For non-race applications, one bottle will usually treat two oil changes. Some race-engine applications require the entire bottle. Classic cars (depending on oil capacity) require approximately 2,100 PPM (Parts Per Million) zinc in the oil. Answer: 16 ounce bottle each oil change to protect your engine. However much engine oil you normally add during and oil change, make sure you substract 16 ounces. Then add TB Zinc Plus.
Question: how man oz should i use per quart
Answer: 1 bottle with standard crank case capacity (4-6) quarts. Pour in bottle first, then add oil to full mark.

Lucas Oil LUC10020 Fuel Treatment - 5.25 Oz

Lucas Oil

Based on 3 reviews Check latest price

Product description

Lucas Fuel treatment complies with the federal low sulfur content requirements for use in diesel motor vehicles and non-road, locomotive and marine diesel equipment engines. A powerful blend of oils and additives that contain no solvents. Designed to increase power and fuel mileage and also lower exhaust emissions through a more complete combustion. Formulated for both gasoline and diesel engines, carbureted and fuel injected. It gives your fuel system what it really needs - a blend of super slick oils and additives with a high detergent action that allows the engine to operate at maximum efficiency. Also, it cleans and lubricates the carburetor and injectors and causes the fuel to burn more thoroughly for increased power and less fuel consumption. Lucas Fuel Treatment should definitely be used in vehicles that require leaded fuel because it actually replaces the benefits of lead in gasoline without causing harmful emissions. Use it to pass smog tests. Finally, it totally neutralizes the harmful effects of low sulfur diesel fuel.

  • The product is 5, 25 ounces, fuel treatment, for gasoline LPG and diesel fuel, contains no alcohol/solvents/kerosene/diesel fuel, lubricates rings and cylinder walls for longer life, increases mileage, cleans and lubricates valves, pumps, carburetors, and injectors
  • Easy and simple use kit
  • The product is manufactured in China
  • A great tune-up in a bottle
  • Cleans and lubricates the fuel system
  • Neutralizes low sulfur fuel problems
  • Increases power and miles per gallon by burning excess exhaust emissions
  • Increases the life of pumps and injectors

User questions & answers

Question: How often can you use
Answer: I use this on every fill up because it lubricates the upper cylinder which increases my gas mileage by about 9%. So it definitely pays for itself. Tho I buy it a gallon at a time and use the smaller bottle to pour into my gas tank. Also, I only put about 7 or 8oz in a 20 gallon tank. Too much of this stuff actually lowers gas mileage. I know from personal experience. If you're looking for a one-per-year cleaner, you really need to look at Techron. This Lucas Oil fuel treatment isn't a strong enough cleaner to use only once per year. I use Techron every other oil change to keep injectors and whatnot clean, but use this Lucas Oil treatment for MPG gains only (from lubricant affects).
Question: Can i Use this in a Toyota corolla 2006? and how often should I use it
Answer: My Toyota dealer sells this product in their service dept
Question: Can I use this in my 2012 kia sorento
Answer: You have to add this before you fill your vehicle up. That way the very action of the pump pumping gas into your vehicle mixes up the Lucas Oil. You don't want to put it in after you filled your gas tank
Question: Will it help remove P0420 code
Answer: 2 bottles of Lucas oil, one gas refill apart, helped with my P0420 Code on Infiniti QX60 engine light. With the 2nd bottle, the light was gone. It worked like a charm. I will continue to keep the fuel tank clean moving forward. Tip : don't wait for the fuel tank to be completely empty before you refill.

User questions & answers

Question: To everyone who has used this oil did yoh buy the sae 30w or the 20/50 breakin oil
Answer: I ordered SAE 30 and received 20w-50
Question: is this non-detergent oil ? better for seating piston rings
Answer: Yes... this is a high-zinc break-in oil. Used for helping to seat the rings on an old school, flat-tappet engine. If you're running a full roller lifter set up, this may be a bit of preventative overkill, but it's cheap insurance. I run it for 500 miles then change to a oil designed for older hot rods (i.e.: contains zinc). Lucas also makes an excellent "Hot Rod & Classic" oil in 10w30 and 10w40 once you've broken things in. Note that these oils are NOT for modern engines and/or cars with catalytic-equipped emissions controls.
Question: How long do you run this oil
Answer: Called Lucus oil, they said for my Jeep L 4, at first start keep the RPMs up at med high for 5 minutes and don’t let up. Then run Jeep normally for 800 miles then change oil .
Question: Will this work for a Diesel engine
Answer: 40w is more common for diesel engines.

User questions & answers

Question: Is this the price for 4 gallons
Answer: This oil will not necessarily help your lifter ticking. Try a heavier weight oil or an oil specified for "high mileage" cars. Another thought: try STP oil additive. Also, I would be wary of how the high zinc content in this oil interacts with the catalytic converter.

User questions & answers

Question: Can I use this 5w
Answer: It is junk. Killed my high mileage engine 50 miles after I added the prescribed amount to my oil change. Lucas oil did NOTHING to help or explain why. Recommend not using this product.
Question: My camry is using oil and i wanted to use the high mileage oil stabilizer, but was informed it is too thick since the engine has vvt? what do i do
Answer: I have a 2020 gmc Denali and I used it after my first oil change. I will continue to use it after every oil change. I also use in my 2007 hummer h3.
Question: Does this help with oil leaks
Answer: That is question I cannot answer, but I have not had a problem such as this since using the products.
Question: Can rhis used in turbo charger engine with 5w20 oil
Answer: It can be used in gas and diesel fuel, once ounce per quart of oil in crankcase at anytime to increase lubricity and. Allow for longer oil life. It helps clean fuel system and motor inside. There is a video online by morgan Lucas that gives good info. Biggest difference versus the other brands is this contains no alcohol. I use in all my oil changes on 2015 ram, 1991 wrangler, 2014 Corolla and recently 1966 289 and boat and mowers all with excellent results. Preferred product to use in Powerstroke would be synthetic oil stabilizer.
