Helmet sizing information

• To achieve proper helmet fitment, begin by finding your head circumference size using the method described below. Remember that the helmet size you choose should fit around the crown of your head comfortably with no pressure points. The cheek pads should fit firmly around your face. Once your chin strap is fastened, grab the helmet's chin bar and move it side to side. Your cheeks should move with the helmet, which should not slide across your face. Different thickness cheek pads can be purchased to obtain the perfect fit.

Head measurement instructions

• Wrap a flexible tape measure around your head approximately one inch above the eyebrows and ears. Use this measurement (in either inches or centimeters) to find your helmet size in the chart above.

My ears get folded over when I put my helmet on

• That’s normal. Watch a MotoGP race, and you’ll even see the pros adjusting their ears as they gear up. As long as you can push your ears back to a natural position and your ears do not hurt, you’re good to go. Again, it’s all about how the helmet fits once it’s actually in position.

I can’t even get my head into the helmet, even though the chart said this was my size

• That might actually be your size. GLX helmets have more neckroll cushioning than others. Hold the helmet by the two straps, with your thumbs pressing the straps against the helmet. Gently spread the helmet’s opening a little, then try pulling it over your head. If it still doesn’t fit, don’t force it. Stop and try the next size up.

I think my helmet is too tight

• If you can’t put it on at all, then that’s obviously too tight. If you can get it on, but it hurts where it presses against your head, that’s also too tight. If it’s snug all around, too snug to chew gum, that’s about right. Don’t forget about that 15 percent to 20 percent break-in that will occur.

Answer:	I usually wear a med. to large, with this helmet a X-large is snug. So the seem to run small. Other than that; I am very pleased with this helmet.

Answer:	If you have all the ports closed. I mean, it's not Mercedes benz Bose headphone while drowning quiet..but quiet enough to throw some earbuds in for music and not be interrupted. I have trouble using the mic if i do that because of the cramped space and possibly the noise. They're iphone style wired headphones....I'd have to hear myself on the other end to determine which.

Answer:	I have installed a Bluetooth headset in to the helmet, it has outlines for the ear phones built into the helmet. The only issue is the microphone when you flip up the modular part, but it's a minor thing.

Answer:	The is a release in the chin near the bottom, it is kind of hidden behind the material that covers that area.

Answer:	There is some air noise. I have a tall windshield on my gl1800 so i dont know exactly how much noise you will get without a windshield. I usually leave the clear visor open one notch. I use a blue tooth comms with the helmet and have no problem hearing other riders or when talking on phone. Not a top of the line 3 to 4 hundred dollar helment but gets the job done. Ive purchased three.

Answer:	The smoked shield came with mine and then I ordered an amber and a clear. You will not regret buying this helmet.

Answer:	Yes, it does come with the shield. However, I have not used the shield. I have wrap around sunglasses that take care of the sunlight. Like any open face helment, the wind can be a problem starting at about 60 mph so keep the chin strap snug. I do believe it is the latest model. I really like this helmet. Its light, looks good, and keeps the noise down. Good luck.
