Answer:	My heater did the same thing. I know it may not be the right thing to do but I pulled the wire off the switch that make the fan run all the time. The internal thermostat will turn the fan on when the heater gets hot and will shut down the fan after it cools.

Answer:	I had to drill holes to match the detachable bracket. Depending on the bracket you have you might have to drill new hole too. I looked at a video on YouTube and they did the same thing.

Answer:	Hi David. Happy to help. I did purchase this box for my '05 RK but unfortunately it came damaged (the rack is shipped inside the case and is not secured so somewhere between Mfg. & me it must have taken a pretty good hit and busted out the side of the case from the inside!) Amazon was great about the return and I decided to purchase the box without the top rack (same Mfg & Supplier - EGO BIKE). As for the box, it does have some advantages and some drawbacks. On the plus side the ABS plastic it is made of (all the aftermarket ones seem to be plastic instead of fiberglass) is more substantial than the cheaper boxes on Amazon. I know this because I used to run one of them until it split! The Paint job is great, plenty glossy and plenty tough. Now for the downside (all correctable if you are at all handy). THE BACKREST: 1) Fairly tough to get mounted, but persistence & patience will get it done. 2) The center mount on the backrest needed re-spacing to get it to sit right. 3) There is no way to fully tighten the internal nuts on the backrest prior to mounting so I replaced the nuts with self locking and tightened them to the point the mount would just barely move and that did the trick. THE TRUNK SEAL: The seal around the inside is not thick enough to fully contact the lid when closed so the lid would rattle even when locked. Easy solution; added a strip of black window weatherstripping from Ace Hardware and the lid closed tight and no rattle. THE LATCHES: When the lid latches are closed the part that holds the lid down don't go over the catches all the way. Was afraid they could slip free while riding. Easy fix; got next size longer screws and plastic wedges from Home Depot. Slipped tips of plastic wedges under bottom of box latches, marked and cut them to size and then glued them to backside of latch. That tipped the latches in so when closed they were fully engaged. THE LOCK: 1) It is cheap and only has one slot for the barrel key to be inserted/removed! This means you need to unlock/re-lock it each time you want in and your keys have to hang against the paint while it is open. Some comments about the box said to file off the indexing tab on the key and then it could be removed. I tried that and some how the key slipped out between lock & unlocked and I couldn't get it to work again. Easy fix; I bought a new lock from the local locksmith (one with the ability to remove the key in both positions) These may seem like a lot of problems but I assure you if you address these issues you will have a very nice solid closing/locking box. I have had mine on the road for several thousand miles now and nothing has come apart (forgot to mention, just make sure to snug up all the screws and nuts prior to mounting) and have received numerous compliments on it. One last comment. Because the one I got with the rack was busted I don't know about mounting the rack or it's durability. Experience from mounting a rack on the cheaper box I had before this one I would advise using a rubber washer & chrome or stainless steel fender washer between the box lid & the rack leg to give more surface area to the mount to prevent cracking from stress & vibration. Answer:	This trunk has no fittings. You have to come up with your own design to make it fit your bike. That being said, I would not recommend this box for permanent instillation. The box is barely functional, very light weight material. I use it on my Roadglide with a quick disconnect attachment for when I go on trips, other than that it sits in the garage. I put lock tite on every screw and nut, you will also have to waterproof the lid. I've had mine for 2 yrs. and about 40,000 in road trips and it is still working, but you have to stay on top of it. My last trip to the left coast from Florida, The hinge pins started to back out of the lid. I pushed them back in and did a permanent fix when I got to my destination. The bottom line is "you get what you pay for" I have made mine work for me and am happy with it. Good luck

Answer:	The mounting plate for this box is as about as close to truly being “universal” as any I’ve seen. I’m not entirely sure what the luggage rack off of the backrest for the gold-wing looks like, but I’ve gotten this box to fit perfectly on an 06 vstar 1100, a 2009 vn2000, a 2003 shadow 750ACE, and a 99 nomad drifter 1500. Without any modifications to the mounting plate.

Answer:	As has been answered many times before, this box is a universal!!! The difference is in the mount you have to buy separately! The holes in the bottom of the box, in my opinion, need to be left out! That way there is only one set of holes in the bottom.

Answer:	It's only a brake light , or constant on it just depends on your preference. . The lights do flash when brake is applied. If you do get this, get some sort of weather seal for the lid. It tends to rattle and is loud enough to hear over traffic noise.

Answer:	This held an adult 26" bike mtn bike and a 24" mtn bike with no issues. Its is not solid metal but it is metal tubing. I have used it several times and had not issues. I have never put a person on it so I cannot say yes or not to that but think it would be sturdy enough.

Answer:	They can be adjusted to fit almost any bike. Please read size carefully they are very small and look bigger than they are. I was very disappointed with mine. They are just dust collectors in my garage because of their small size I will never use them.

Answer:	They fit mine but they are so small it’s a joke! Nothing fits inside them! Double check those demintions. The sizes listed are the largest areas of the bag. It has a weird shape so the usable size is much smaller! But they look good.

Answer:	Yes they will fit the VTX 1800 but they are very small. When they came in they were very small so we did not use them.
