Question:	Can anyone tell me what the length of the strap with the ratchet is? I'm looking for a set of straps to use that has a short strap with the rachet sid
Answer:	Probably wouldn't work very well. These are for E track trailers, in trying to secure a tree you wouldn't have the proper "track" to allow the binder function to work unless you could secure the E track ends some other way. I think similar straps with hooks rather than E track would be better.

Answer:	I read somewhere that the working load is 1100 pounds and the burst load is 3500 pounds. I can't verify that, there's no tag on the straps that gives the maximums. I can say that I use three (one over each tire) to secure my SlingShot to the trailer. I've towed it well over 10,000 miles in the past 2 years and have never had a strap break, stretch, fray or come undone. Some of the highways we use these days will test the best equipment. These straps have held up to everything I've subjected them to and did it with no problems.
