Answer:	No, not totally. It isn't necessarily made as a bath mat. I do use it in my bathroom, near the shower, but I also use a basic bath mat over the top of the carpet runner. Runner has a rubber backing, but the shag itself can absorb moisture. It work great for me, and looks good!
