If you were interested manning on running the refrigerator for an extended period of time like for several weeks while at an Rv Park, then I would either put the 110v AC line to the Rv or at least a battery maintainer/charger on the battery if in an automobile without AC. From the time it plugged in It took about half a day to freeze ice cubes and using a single deep cycle Battery ran without recharging for three days. I take it camping. As far as I know, any refrigerator or freezer will not run properly in cold weather but you might be safe at 40 degrees. 80 is no problem.

In the 24 hours I opened the unit about 6 times to measure the temperate of items inside with a non-contact thermometer. Temperature of items maintained about 3-4 C. The current draw was just over 12 amps over the 24 hours. This gives an average draw of about .5 amps/hr. This will be higher if the ambient temps are higher of the temp of the unit is lowered.
