We recommend a clean, dry, smooth surface for full shade placement. There are a few surfaces our shades do not stick well too, such as wallpapered, freshly painted (within 30-90 days), high gloss or textured surfaces. Answer:	The gray color is very nice, but if you're blocking out light fromstreet lights, the black are better for that. I've bought "white, gray and black"in these shades. They last a good long time with daily use, putting them upand down etc. But, and there's always a but, the sun will bleach out the blackones. They turn grayish with the sun hitting them after a while. From outsideit can look a little weird. I use that as my time to change the black for a new one.This color change doesn't stop them from light blocking...so, if its not a windowthat gets lots of looks from people passing by, then there's no problem. I bought thebox of six because I figured I'd be replacing them often. So far they've lasted 2 yearswith no problems.
