13 best magnum car ramps
Magnum car ramps are heavy-duty automotive accessories designed to provide a safe and convenient way to elevate a vehicle for maintenance, repairs, or inspections. These ramps are specifically engineered to support the weight of cars, trucks, SUVs, and other vehicles. Here's what you need to know about Magnum car ramps:
Materials and Construction: Magnum car ramps are typically constructed from durable materials such as high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or heavy-duty plastic. Some models may also incorporate reinforced steel or other metals for added strength and durability.
Weight Capacity: Magnum ramps are known for their high weight capacity, which allows them to safely support vehicles of varying sizes and weights. Depending on the specific model, these ramps can typically hold between 6,000 and 12,000 pounds or more.
Safety Features: Many Magnum car ramps come with safety features to ensure stability and prevent accidents while using them. These features may include non-slip surfaces, wheel chocks, and inclines designed for a gradual approach to prevent bottoming out.
Versatility: Magnum ramps are suitable for a wide range of automotive applications. Whether you need to change the oil, perform brake work, inspect the underside of your vehicle, or simply access the undercarriage, these ramps can provide the necessary clearance.
Ease of Use: These ramps are designed for ease of use. They typically have a gentle incline, making it easy for vehicles to drive onto them. The lightweight materials also make them easy to transport and position as needed.

Maintenance: Magnum car ramps are relatively low-maintenance. They can be easily cleaned and stored, and their durable construction ensures long-lasting performance.
Safety Precautions: While using car ramps is generally safe, it's essential to follow proper safety guidelines.Always park your vehicle on a flat, level surface, engage the parking brake, and use wheel chocks to prevent unintended movement.

Tire manufacturers do not warranty their tires against flat spotting and FlatStoppers have consistently been the go-to product to save dollars by saving the tires. The special concave design of the FlatStoppers effectively cradles the tire while the durable exterior coating prevents scooting on even the smoothest of floors including epoxy and plastic modular flooring. Additionally, the FlatStopper will not leave marks on floors. Through its composition, Race Ramps' FlatStoppers provide the highest quality and performance of any flat spot prevention product in the market today. The Supercar FlatStopper accommodates tires up to 14-inches wide, which has become more of today's standard in new factory performance vehicles. The Supercar FlatStopper measures 16"W x 28"L and is an addition to Race Ramps' successful line of FlatStoppers which includes the standard FlatStoppers (for tires up to 12-inches wide) and the 10-inch FlatStoppers (for tires up to 8-inches wide). Save dollars by saving your tires.
- Evenly disperses vehicle weight and preserves tire shape during storage to prevent flat spots
- Won't transfer heat or cold up from floor or ground surfaces
- Won't slip, slide or scoot no matter the surface, or damage garage floors
- 6,000 lb. weight capacity; fits supercar tires up to 16" W
- Lightweight, 100% solid expanded foam core with traction coating
User questions & answers
Question: | What size needed on tire size |
Answer: | Maximum height is 5 inches. FYI I recently used them to change the engine oil on a 2018 Chevy Camaro and they worked just fine. |
Question: | Are 16" (rr-fs-16-sc) available in red color? if so, what designation do i use to order them |
Answer: | They would probably work, but not as good as the classic ramps you would typically get. |
Question: | If the tires drop into place slightly off angle will this ruin the tire or will the material form to hug the tires |
Answer: | I used them on my 40’ motorhome and love them. I do think they will work as long as you have 6” ground clearance. |
Question: | can you back up into these? i back back my car into my garage |
Answer: | No they don't. But fortunately we have the room to store them. They don't take up that much space. We like them. |

A Solution for Long Term Car Storage
Flatstoppers are lightweight, but very strong and durable, accommodating vehicles up to 6,000 lbs. Flatstoppers were developed as a solution for people having problems with tires developing flat spots when a vehicle is parked for 30 days or longer.
How Flatstoppers Work
Once tires are set on Flatstoppers (on a level surface), they settle into the pad's concave depression, which helps support more of the tire. This disperses the weight of the car more evenly onto the tire – helping to prevent any flat spotting.
More Reasons to Use Flatstoppers
Flatstoppers will not conduct heat or cold into your tires despite changing floor temperatures. As with all Race Ramps products, Flatstoppers are made with the company's patented super-lightweight 100% solid construction technique – making them highly durable and virtually indestructible. Flatstoppers won't scratch or otherwise damage floors, and won't rust.

User questions & answers
Question: | Will it fit a 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel 5.9 automatic |
Answer: | The wheel width determines the size needed. It’s a little difficult to drive up 4 narrow ramps So I suggest the 16” ramp. You don’t have to be precise . You will have some room on either side of the tire to cradle the tire. |
Question: | Will this fit my 98 2500 5.9 standard trans |
Answer: | We do not have the RR-FS-16-SC available in the color red anymore. We have stopped spraying all products in the color red as of January of this year. |
Question: | is this for automatic trans. with the cummins engine |
Answer: | The product does not form to the tire. Rather tire lies within the curvature and keeps the tire from getting flat spots. Tires placed straight in groves will hold their forms. |
Question: | what is the core size |
Answer: | I can't see why not. The ramps don't know which way the vehicle is oriented as the tires roll up onto the ramps. The trick with a garage is having the vehicle end up where you want it in the garage, AFTER it's situated on the ramps. I'm going to write the description below as if you're driving into the garage nose first - you'll want to reverse front and rear as necessary below if you intend to back in.Note that you do NOT place all four ramps in their final location before you begin to drive into the garage, as this would mean the front tires would have to go up, over and off the rear ramps before they reach and begin to go up on the front ramps. What you need to do with your new ramps is to first measure the horizontal distance between the lip (lowest edge) of the ramps, and the center of the concave portion of the ramps (where the tire will end up). Let's say for discussion purposes that this distance is 20". You drive the vehicle into the garage with the desired left-right orientation, to a point approximately 20" BEHIND where you want it to end up when it's situated on the ramps, and initially stop there. Then you place all four ramps on the floor, centering them (left-to-right) on each of the tires, pushing the lower lip of each ramp just touching/pinched underneath) the front edge of each tire (at the front of the patch where the tire contacts the floor). This means as soon as the car begins to move forward, all four tires will begin going up onto their respective ramps at the same time. Though the manufacturer says it doesn't matter, I recommend having both the floor underneath the ramps and the top and bottom surface of the ramps themselves be as clean and free of dust, dirt, liquid or anything else that would cause it to slip relative to the tire as the latter goes up on it. You then slowly drive the car forward, and it will roll up on the ramps, and at some point all four tires will drop into the concave depression of the ramps at about the same time. Do this VERY slowly, as it will be a rather substantial jolt as the tires simultaneously drop into the depression on the ramps (depending on your suspension, it will feel like you drove off a curb). Get out of the vehicle, and inspect how each tire is seated in each ramp, left/right and front/rear, to make sure nothing moved while you were driving the vehicle up on them. Also note that when you drive (forward or backward) OFF the ramps, you have to follow the reverse process to that outlined above. As soon as you are off the ramps (immediately after the front and rear tires contact the garage floor), get out and move at least the two ramps that are still under the vehicle, out of the way. Otherwise you'll end up driving over them in the wrong direction, which will not be enjoyable for either the ramps, the vehicle, you, and/or your underwear. The following section is intended for engineers and others like myself who understand that anal-retentive and obsessive-compulsive are both necessarily spelled with a hyphen).if the aspect ratio (the ratio of a tire’s section height to its section width when the tire is: inflated to maximum air pressure) of the front and rear tires is not the same, the circumference of the front and rear tires may be slightly different. On rear-wheel drive vehicles, for example, It can mean that (in this example) the circumference of the rear tires is slightly larger than that of the front tires. If you initially position the front lip of the ramps the same way under the front and rear tires as outlined above, you may find that the front tires end up not exactly centered on the front ramps, You'll be able to feel this more than see it, by sliding something like a paper envelope underneath each tire from each (front/rear) direction, after each tire is seated in the ramp depression). In my case this resulted with the front tires being slightly less than an inch behind the physical center of the ramp depression, while the rear tires were exactly centered in the ramp depressions. If this turns out to the case for you, and you're concerned about it, initially place the front tire ramps, very slightly (probably less than an inch) forward of where you put them for the rear tires (this means the rear tires will contact and begin climbing their ramps VERY slightly before the front tires contact and begin climbing theirs). If you are using the ramps for a vehicle like a hot rod, where the rear tires are often substantially taller and wider than the front tires, this distance will be somewhat larger and may be significant. If you're mathematically inclined, you can calculate this distance/difference, but if you're not, you'll probably find that trial-and-error is easier. Unless your front and rear tires are substantially different in circumference, you probably won't find the difference to be significant enough to be concerned with. In any event, don't let it affect your decision to get these ramps, it's really no t that big a deal - you'll see how to tune the correct position for the ramps the first or second time you use them.Good Luck !! |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it charged out of the box or do you have to charge it first? My grandson will want to play with it immediately |
Answer: | It does have a little charge. I used the gas up routine with my grandson. Just to let you know, the foam wheels pick up every hair and dirt on the floor/rug. It cleans well with a lint roller. |
Question: | Why is shipping date 1-2 months on Air Hogs emote indoor car |
Answer: | there are plenty in stock right now... |
Question: | can two be used at the same time for two boys |
Answer: | Yes, up to SIX can be individually controlled simulataneously. You have to turn on each controller/vehicle pair one at a time. |
Question: | Can you easily turn it left and right? How much control do you have with the remote |
Answer: | This is a crazy fun car for kids. That being said the front tires don't steer. The left and rigth tires turn at different speeds like a tank to turn. So its not very precise turning, it turns a little too fast to make accurate turns in my opinion. Its not built to race around a track though. It runs over everything and doesn't damage anything it hits Is a perfect kids indoor rc. Can't go wrong for the money. |

Answer: | it has the oil cooler for the automatic trans. Its for gas engines. I cannot confirm if its the same radiator for the Cummins |
Question: | Will these slide across a polished garage floor, or do they stay in place |
Answer: | What do you mean how many core size it is a two core radiator which is a stock core radiator for the truck OEM quality decent radiator overall just make sure you buy a brand-new one I got a brand-new one that was open box and it came to me in a look like it got drug behind a truck ran over by the truck thrown back in the truck beats on with the radiator and thrown in my yard and around man handed it to me The box was not beat up there was one little hole in the side which would not have effect in the radiator in anyway possible I bought spectrum radiators before and I have been fine and good never had problems will go on and less it was my fault last one I had truck was low on coolant and The top two cores on the backside driver-side was leaking at the top of the radiator but other than that there radiators were good were all blocked off with the proper hook up see you can just put it right in your truck it comes with the hardware they come pressure tested and they work good I know it seems like a truck that big Would definitely have a lease a three Core radiator and out but that's the size of the OEM I do have one on there for about almost $200 that is a three core what's is been made a better material but that's on you you didn't look no different then The two core radiators to me but then again the one core look the same to me they should be in Morton efficient to keep the truck cool if your truck is not running cool then it's probably your clutch fan which if you're going to replace a radiator that's probably what did it The first place or your water pumps no good are your thermostat is not in or is no good but the radiator cap will need to be replaced your thermostat will need to be replaced depending on what it was a few other gaskets for the price I just bought the whole top in kit just remember Dodge is torque tty torque to yield which means they bought them out and they are nonreusable any bolts that you take out and take head bolts all need to be replaced |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can they be used to change John Deere Lawnmowers blades |
Answer: | I would say no i had my f150 on it and my tires over hang.... I wouldn't recommend them for a motorhome. |
Question: | Are they stackable |
Answer: | Believe it or not, I still own a protractor. Allowing for just an "eyeballing it" accuracy, I would say it measures between 10 and 15 degrees, closer to the 10 end of that range. Best guess, about 12 degrees. If you want to do some geometry, it forms a right triangle, Opposite side of the angle is 6.5 inches and adjacent side is 22 inches. (A rise of 6.5 over a run of 22). So just figure tan(x) = 6.5/22 |
Question: | will they support a motorhome |
Answer: | Made in USA. Watseka, IL Haven't opened them yet; they are for Christmas present. Do seem heavy and sturdy. |
Question: | What is the incline angle in degrees |
Answer: | Each ramp will support 2000 lbs. (2tons) For use on vehicles up to 6500 pounds which is a little more than 3 tons. The ramps are only supporting 2 wheels but the 6500lbs rating is the weight of the whole vehicle. Each ramp supports 2000 pounds. There are 2 ramps. This equals 4000 pounds or 2 tons. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is it suitable for 2006 lexus es330 and toyota camry |
Answer: | If you have at least 3 inches of ground clearance then these will work |
Question: | Can I buy replacement pads for the bottom |
Answer: | : 27 1/2" total length measured along the bottom edge. 26" from the start of the ramp to the tire stop on top side. 7 1/2" wide. |
Question: | Will these work with a 2020 f |
Answer: | No, they are too low and with no soft rubber on the bottom the move foreword as you try to drive up on them on cement . Wont slide on gravel though. If you can finally drive up on them they give you more clearance to put a jack underneath the car to raise it for jack stands. Honestly you need 8 to 10 inches to make the oil change job comfortable. |
Question: | Will these work well with low clearance vehicles? My wife's car is a 2005 grand prix. My steel ramps are too steep - the bumper hits before the tires |
Answer: | Hello: These ramps stay firmly in place on regular, everyday, rough concrete floors, but I've never tried them on polished surfaces. |
