User questions & answers

Question: What are the break strength of these straps
Answer: 1.5" x15'
Question: Where are these made
Answer: No they are not
Question: How wide are the D rings
Answer: 15 FOOT, just to be clear
Question: What is the break strength
Answer: Correct, I bought them specifically for use to tie down my motorcycle in the back of my truck. These are a bit longer than you really need for use as Motorcycle tie-downs but I bought them so I could use them for many things. I also bought: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01AS5QCKS/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 to protect the bike during transport from friction rubs and etc. Both items have worked perfectly!

User questions & answers

Question: Is the buckle aluminum or steel
Answer: According to the 2016 NSF International (until 1990, known as the National Sanitation Foundation) analysis of Icelandic Glacial water, there was no detectible flouride in their tested samples. When the Laki fissure volcano erupted in 1783, it sent enormous quantities of fluorine and sulfur dioxide into the atmosphere as the lava degassed on reaching the surface. So it is probable that the hardened lava has minimal fluorine residue, under the reporting limit. But that is just my opinion, I trust this water more than American bottled water brands, many of them from Nestle's. https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0289/0132/files/NSF_Test_Report_Source_Water_2016.pdf?634833958458951797
Question: What material is the latch mechanism
Answer: it's heavy? shipping?
Question: Do you have a shorter lashing strap
Answer: Because its alkaline water which is super good for you. The lyte version has more vitamins but way more ingredients and it doesnt state the ph level which means it probly isn't alkaline
Question: What color is it
Answer: Water.

User questions & answers

Question: Can I wrap this around a heavy skid of about 1000 lbs and hoist the skid up with the forks through the straps on top
Answer: The unit I bought is wired the same way. I've heard that neutral-fused circuits have been witnessed in some European electronic devices, but haven't traced out the circuit to see if there could be any legitimate reason behind their theory. Can't rule out the possibility that the product assembler is tasking unsupervised. I believe that would be sub-standard per US standards. My heat gun has functioned flawlessly up to this point.
Question: I'm ordering one but ideally I would like 18-20' length so do you think I can cut this and cauterize the end to prevent it from shredding
Answer: I don't think so. Looking through the manual I don't see any way to change the temperature.Since all the component data sheets have the temperature profile in Celsius, I generally don't find the need for Fahrenheit.
Question: whats length of actual chain
Answer: Please provide more explanation in your first question, if you mean that if they have the same suction channel the answer is yes, you have to detach the absorber in order to put the pickup tool into the suction channel. For the second question, the absorber is NOT detachable from the soldering iron.
Question: Mine didn't have working load rating on it or breaking load
Answer: The range on the soldering iron is 200C-480C (392F-896F), so it should be suitable for smaller devices for which you would use a 15 watt pencil iron. Just double check to make sure the temperature your pencil iron operates at is within that range and you should be good to go.

Keeper HI-TEST Webbing

The heart of a tie-down and tow strap is its webbing and the webbing design must be specific to the job. The webbing used to lash a kayak to an automobile roof rack requires a different rated capacity, abrasion resistance and weave pattern than a heavy duty motorcycle/ATV tie-down. Likewise, a 10,000 lb. industrial ratchet tie-down has different requirements as well. Keeper’s commitment to providing only high quality, long lasting, value driven products requires that it design specific webbing to meet the demands for specific applications.

Keeper developed its HI-TEST webbing many years ago using 3 layers of high tenacity yarn to protect and provide strength. The face, back and edge layers provide the webbing with abrasion and weather protection and the center, or warp yarns, provide the strength. All HI-TEST webbing is tested for abrasion resistance using Federal Test Method #5309, required of all mil-spec webbing. The webbing is cycled over a steel hexagonal bar to simulate real life application. A tensile test is then conducted. All Keeper webbing passes an abrasion capacity requirement to ensure a long lasting product.

Product Capacity Rating

The strength of each component of an assembly. For example: A ratchet handle begins to fail at 13.00 lbs., the hook begins to fail at 10,000 lbs. and the webbing breaks in excess of 12,000 lbs.

Rated Capacity

Also known as "assembly capacity" or "break strength." This is the maximum load a complete assembly can withstand before failure in a laboratory pull test when the product is new.

Working Load Limit

The maximum weight of a load a tie-down should be subject to during normal use. To assist in making the proper tie-down for the job, Keeper, the Web Sling Association and the Federal D.O.T. required the working load limit to be 1/3 of the rated capacity.

User questions & answers

Question: What is the shortest useable length
Answer: This is from a web-site one of their distributors "The level of deuterium in this water is -53,4‰, which means that it is -53,4‰ less than ocean water. Ocean water is used as the guide for measuring deuterium content of water and is approx 155ppm deuterium. This means this water has a deuterium level of approx 148ppm." I believe I saw this text directly on the icelandicglacial.com web-site, but cannot find it anymore.

Question: would this be strong enough to attach around a tree with a dog tie out? under supervision but if she ran full force would this hold
Answer: I doubt very much that your Dog or several dogs for that matter would be strong enough to break this strap. It is extremely heady duty and a well made strap with Heavy duty D-Rings.
Question: Does this come with a separate D ring or are they referring to the metal attachments at the end of the strap
Answer: They refer to metal triangles at the end of the strap as Delta rings. Delta can be loosely translated as "3" or triangle, the rings are triangular shaped. They have small pieces of metal folded over the side that receives the web strap to enlarge and soften the stress points on the fabric strap. I find the triangular shape perfect for field use. I have never had any problems of a hook slipping out of the Delta ring; a grab 7/16 hook works perfect! A slip hook with a functioning mouse is very safe and I have never had any trouble with the Delta ring! The 7/16 grab hook works so well I use the strap on a trailer ball when recovering stuck vehicles instead of using the chain hook that is very prone to slipping off. Never an issue and my co-workers are very impressed! I did not have a 'jerk rope' and with my short chain needed a slow speed pull out of a buried to the axle four wheel drive small boom truck. I think I used two straps on the two trailer balls (back to back pull out) it went perfectly well.

Operating Instructions

1. Attach only to a vehicle frame or hitch strong enough for extreme towing stress by forming a loop around the frame by passing one end loop through the other. Or attach to tractor hitch pin or frame mounted tow hook.

*Be careful of sharp edges. Cover strap with a rag if necessary.

2. Drive slowly away from stuck vehicle until strap stops stretching. The strap will recoil and free the stuck vehicle. Use extreme caution and stand clear.

3. To reduce potential whipping, lay blanket or coat over the strap after vehicle attachment. Remember, if the strap is overloaded or improperly fastened, it could snap loose like a rubber band and cause injury.

4. At stop or when slowing down, keep tension on the strap to avoid abrasion from the road surface.

User questions & answers

Question: What is the width of the straps? I see the length of 18" but no mention of width
Answer: Im not sure where this is made. If I remember it did say made in USA on the packaging, but I can't remember for certain.. But, I have one, and it is a very well made, and strong strap. I was very pleased with the quality of it. I have bought some in the past for twice and three times the money not made as well as this one. Has reinforcement stitching and materials in key stress places. I have used it several times, the last to pull my son's Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 with my Dodge Ram 4x4 Diesel for about 15 miles to get him home. Both heavy trucks and it didn't stress this strap at all.
Question: Two of each as pictured for a total of 8 straps, or just one of each? Picture and words do not coincide
Answer: 2.5-3ft
Question: What is the actual length of the 18" and what does it super stretch out to
Answer: Kostas, i am not sure, but i think they are steel. They are very sturdy, like an airplane seat belt. The buckle is easy to use also which is why i bought these. i checked the packaging and it didn't say either way, but the buckle is thick and strong. I recommend them ( i am strapping my dog carefully into my bike basket with these straps). Hope this helps. Kimmie
Question: Does the velcro extend the full length of the strap
Answer: The latch mechanism is a metal alloy. The coating does not keep it from rusting although it helps. The latches seem to be substantial enough for the price. Anything heavy or holding down at high speeds needs ratcheting.

User questions & answers

Question: Is the hook opening large enough for a 7/8" D-ring
Answer: Yes the super stretch does have velcro for the full length of the strap. I bought the multi sized pack and all are the same - full velcro. The same is not true however, for the Wrap-It Heavy Duty Straps. These have Velcro only about 1/3 of the total length on each end. I found the heavy duty straps for that reason to be a lot less versatile. If you decide on the Heavy-Duty, you should buy the multi-pack because the large and jumbo would be for much larger diameter items. (I used a small for a 30 foot extension cord). The Heavy Duty small can hold 25 lbs, and the medium, large, and extra large can hold 50 lbs. I cannot find on the packaging how many pounds the Super- Stretch Wrap-It straps hold- but maybe in description? One last comparison: the Super-Stretch ones do not have a grommet at the end like the Heavy Duty straps do. The grommets make it easy to hang your wrapped item on a hook. I do find that construction of both styles of straps to be solid and the Velcro has a strong hold. Hope this helps with your decision.
Question: What size is the hooks
Answer: La correa de recuperación 02942 de Keeper tiene una capacidad de banda de 20,000 libras y un límite máximo de peso del vehículo de 10,000 libras que debería ser más que suficiente para un jeep.
Question: Is this strap made of Nylon or polyester
Answer: Synthetic materials. The exact compounds I do not know.
Question: Where is this strap made? Have heard a lot of bad things about made in China straps. Don't want to waste my money
Answer: I have unwound it and rewind it and used bungee cords to keep it coiled. I don't bag it. I measured 9 3/8's diameter on my roll.
