Answer: | I have installed this hitch on a 2013 grand cherokee larado 3.6 L egine. Quite a simple install. Had to remove the factory installed tow hooks. Curt Mfg. indicates the following: The most common receiver class installed on full-size pickup trucks and SUVs is a Class 3. If your full-size truck is equipped with a tow package, it's probably a Class 3. These receivers have a 2-inch square receiver tube. Class 3 receivers can handle up to 8,000 pound trailers and 800 pounds of tongue weight with a weight carrying ball mount, or up to 12,000 pounds and 1,200 pounds of tongue weight with a weight distributing hitch. This generally exceeds the towing capacities of most non-commercial vehicles, so a Class 3 hitch is rarely the limiting factor when towing. Answer: | I bought mine for a 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee your install may be different. On this Jeep there are bolts already on the frame which I unscrewed and then reused for the hitch. There was no need for additional mounting hardware. Total installation time was less than 10 minutes solo. |

Answer: | I didn't have to raise the car but as others recommend to spray lubricant on the muffler brackets so they can slide off and on with ease. I also recommend not tightening bolts it's best to just get them started and after hitch is in place go back and tighten. |

Answer: | Yes but not as well as without. The range is narrowed quite a bit.. I find it quite annoying to install the receiver. It wants to open in your face while trying to install the pin. |

Answer: | You would have to look at you GVW of the vehicle for that. I believe the Odyssey is around 5500 pound Max GVTW. Tongue weight is typically 10% so around 550 lbs. I am sure it marked that way because of the max tow weight of the van. That being said, I have moved far more than that with my 2007 Odyssey and around 5000 lbs with my 2019. It does well with it and doesn't sag too much. I have the most problem with my hitch basket getting maxed out and causing sag. This is due to the weight being another foot behind where it was designed to be. |
