Even though it is backlit the keyboard is nearly unreadable which makes it quite difficult for a crappy typist like me. The mouse pad was obviously designed by a person with a 50 pound hand, it is far from a touch system. It is almost a necessity to use a mouse with this laptop which makes it NOT a laptop. By the way, the case is a flimsy silver plastic. Dell is ripping off the buying public with this generation of the Inspiron line. I have too much in it now to throw it away so I will have to soldier on!!!!!!!
